Hallo everyone, this is my first time in a forum, I currently live in Arizona, I have been building models since I was 8, 38 years ago, I started with all things 1/72 scale I grew up in South Africa and in 1989 I moved back to Switzerland, all the kits I had accumulated over 11 year I gave to a friend.
Back in Switzerland I had the great idea to build a 1/72 scale model of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, I had most of the air wing built when a job opportunity brought me to the USA, as before I gave my kits to a friend and made the move.
In 2000 I went to my local hobby store and asked if there was some thing new and challenging, she told me to try the 1/350 scale USS New Jersey from Tamiya, ( I love ships) well I was hooked!
So this brings us to now, having moved to Arizona with my wife my fleet has gown to 63 ships, not including aircraft, vehicles and Sci-fi some of which I designed, you could say I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to 1/350 scale, I work on 4 to 5 kits at any one time.
