 I hope you don't mind me calling you that and I know this is much later .I have learned that the best thing you have , and many realize it too late ,  is a loving partner through thick and thin .I will always keep both of you in my prayers . I survive the dreaded " D " experience after three whole minutes and my love died ten days after that . My memories of her has kept me going because I know she would approve of where my life has gone from here .You two find the time to just sit on the porch ( if you have one ) and enjoy the sunrise together holding hands .      Tanker - Builder

Thank you to everyone who responded. It was a great Christmas. The children were very pleased to be able to spend the day with their mother and not have to visit her in the hospital. They helped prepare the turkey dinner,cleared the table and dish the dishes. Mary ate a small meal and did not have any problems digesting it. She is doing okay. Once again my sincere thanks to everyone.

God's blessings and prayers for healing, strength and peace, oh and some bench time as you are able. Family is one of the most important things along with heath and faith. You and Mary have been given a great present this year and I know you are enjoying it. Merry Christmas....a day or so late.

I had never even HEARD of intestinal adhesion until I read your post!  Yikes!  Thank God the surgeons were able to get things taken care of and I wish your wife the speediest of recoveries.  News like that truly makes it the greatest gift that both she AND you could ever receive.

That is the best present you can get. My wife and I went through a bad Christmas about 6 years ago.

I was the one in the hospital, heart surgery went bad, on life support, in  an induced coma for 2 weeks.

Two  weeks before Christmas came out of it. My wife got all she wanted for Christmas that year.
