I was just in Charlotte, NC and found a fantastic LHS just south of the city in Rock Hill. It's called the Hobby Stop at 939 S. Anderson Road just over the border in Rock Hill, SC. The web site isn't too helpful about what they have for plastic scale modelers, but they have a great selection of models and supplies. Lots of paint selections, including large size bottles of Tamiya acrylics and bunches of MM. The plastic model aisle was crammed with all kinds of makers, models, and scales. They have a huge selection of WWII models, especially planes. I bought an AFV 1:35 scale LEFH 18 howitzer. I really wanted to get the Trumpeter 21cm Morser 18, but the box was just a little too big for carrying on the plane with my other stuff. If you're in the area, you want to visit this independent store. The owner works there every day.
