So, Tim. What's it like working off a brand new Chromebook? I bet you are missing that boat anchor you called a computer.

I will still use the old one for picture storage, and oter "trivial" stuff. When it finally Die's, I will "Harvest it's Organ's" for a Sci-Fy project.

But, the NEW computer is almost overwhelming, I'm still learning to navigate around all the new stuff...... OOooooooooo,   Shiny !!!

Back on after a week or so. Couldn't log-in

I often wonder where people went as well , but also know that my career takes me away from the hobby , some times for months.   You just hope everyone that vanished is well.

Remember Triarius (Ross)?  The resident chemistry expert who could answer any paint issue no matter how complicated.  People who are long time contributors then vanish.  I remember several.

Just got back in the last hour or so myself.

4 devices, multiple browsers, nothing worked.

Ditto
Samesame, someone must have done something...finally.

But information does not seem to be "Customer Service" #1 priority here.

With a 7 day outage uptime doesn't seem to be either.

I also have not had a problem accessing the FSM forums.

same here... although I only access via my iPhone and iPad. No desktop at home and my laptop is crap. And I do have seperate issues with this site on my phone that I have brought up to the admin here with no fixes yet since the last forum change. And every few days I get logged out without ever doing so myself. Yeah there are some glitches in here.

The problem seems to come and go here. Today it took me 5 tries before it let me log in. Other days I can't log in at all or I try again in a few hrs. and I get in. As others have said, I've got other problems to deal with, I don't need any more. I've liked it here for all the years I've been here and don't want to leave. I'll hang out here for a while and see how things go. Hope they fix things.

While I never had much of a problem, this new SNAFU has tired me out from a constant stream of issues. I will be posting more on other sites such as SPAM and less on here.

I have several Group Builds currently going on, a few that I'm intrested in coming up and a few that I'm a co-host or host with but I won't be going here first for general discussions anymore. At least that's how I feel as of now.

Not angry, just tired and dissapointed.

Ditto I feel the same way. Time will tell what I do.

GM is locked out in the current SNAFU. He has been over on SPAM in the meantime. So has Mopar Madness.

5 days since the last FSM communication and there is no end in sight. That's stellar customer service for ya.

From a guy that has dealt with customers for over 30 years, the guy meaning me, I can safely say, you don't treat your customer base like this. This is an example of what not to do. I am beyond irritated at how they deal with this forum.

What an absolute pity. We, the forum members, are one of FSMs greatest strengths. We generate interest in their product. And, we do this without them paying a cent to us in sales commission.

Whatever.

Pretty sad but true. This however seems to be the norm with just about everyone out there. Customer care has become a thing of the past for the most part.

As an example I need a copy of my home monitored alarm certificate for an insurance discount. The alarm company wants you to go on their web site to get the certificate instead of just sending one as an email with the attachment. Took me a good 20 minutes to fill out all the mumbo jumbo when the cert could have been emailed in a couple of minutes by the rep.
