Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

i used the plans to make bulkheads to restore the lower fuselage that I cut away to install the wing.  It should work.

I still build some stick and silkspan (tissue) models. With the progress being made in the electric flying models I might go back to this type od modeling. We also used to cove those stick models with silk and brush on "dope". I still have a can od Pactra clear dope that is at least 40 years old and it is still usable. The old banana oil dope was horrible, but the lacquer based dope was just as bad.

Looks good, and you got the canopy done- my most hated part of aircraft modeling.

This build is looking good.  I have a STUKA that I attempted to build but every time a cut a piece of balsa, especially with the grain it would split.  The pieces would not just pop out like the manufacturer's customer service said.  I would try to glue it back together back usually ended up gluing to the bench.  I needed help with it but found nobody willing to help around me.  So it sits, with only a couple of parts actually put together.  I am glad you are having fun with it.

How are you going to paint it?  It looks like the covering is a type of plastic shiny monokote film.

To fix the split bulkheads, first put a sheet of wax paper down and then glue the parts together.that way it is not stuck to the workbench and the repaired bulkhead can be easily removed without re damaging it.After the glue dries ,of course.

I have tried it with wax paper.  It is good on the larger pieces but a lot of times it is where a real small tab for one of the long horizontal stringers.  Some times when they break I cannot tell how they go back together.  I hear Guillow's is doing laser cut on some of their kits.  May be I will wait for it in laser cut wood.

I found an engine in my parts stash that looks good.(had to grind down the cylinders to fit the cowling). The crank case cover is not glued on pending the selection and installation of a motor.
