Greg

This is fun to watch. Nice workmanship.

I like the subtle streaking on the prop blades on pg 3.

Thanks Greg.

I completed the flaps and ailerons.

Horizontal stabilizers.

The rudder.

I started the construction of the landing gear.

Finally I glued the wings to the fuselage.

Thanks for the info on how you did the pit. I have tried the pre shading a couple of times but I just can't get the hang of it.

Some more really nice work here. Really nice work on the prop.

Buckeye

Looking good!  May have to tackle this bad boy one of these days.

Mike

I think it is worth every $ I paid for it.

Gamera

The interior looks so good it's a shame to cover part of it up!

I will try to leave all the covers and the canopy open.

It is in fact amazing in terms of fit. After three sets mounted in separate all fits without fail. Cockpit, engine and rear air ducts and air ducts under the engine nothing was glued. However fittings without fail.

And finally the fuselage glued.
I started the wear on the propeller.

Air ducts under the engine.

I would love to buy this from my LHS, but when I can get it online for $70 cheaper, I'm forced to buy online lol.  This thread has made me want this kit so much more then I already did! Big Smile

Thanks for the commentsYes.

I did not like the additional deposits painting. This time first painted glossy black, then aluminum.

Machine guns. Painted black and then a kind of dry brush with graphite.

Flaps and ailerons.

Once'll let the engine covers open the air duct missing.

A few more pieces aluminum.

And for now it is all.

ajcmac,

Ty so much for posting your w.i.p.  and the valuable info therin.

I'm working on an interior for my 1/48 B-26 with a complete Edard PE set and I am definately gonna try the post shading / lightening technique you so aptly described here. it just looks so cool.

Bish.

I use the post-shading. After I painted Interior Green applied lights and shadows. For the lights I used a piece of Interior Green and Yellow 0.5. For the shadows I used black. The two colors with 80% diluent. I applied after one wash and dry brush with Tamiya XF-04.

lawdog114

The propeller hub was painted with Tamiya XF-7 red and yellow Gunze H-414 RLM 04. It was the most similar color to the sheet of decals.

I used Tamiya tape and in front I used Eduard Mask (those that are used to paint the wheels).

Mustang 1989

I will leave open panels.

I finished the wells of the landing gear.

I painted and applied the wear on some parts of the air ducts and radiators.

Excellent!  I'm digging the weathering.  How did you do that spinner stripe?  Is that a decal or did you paint that.  Keep up the good work.

I really do like the shading in the pit. I thought you might have used lawdog's method, but on looking back through I can see you have painted the green first. So how have you got that shading.

This is very nice work.  I am blown away by the amount of detail on the engine.  I am doing a 1/24 Bandai version for the Group Build, and will definitely be referencing your great work here.
