Bravo Nathan! That is a fine looking Phantom. Your detailing and paint work is muy primo. Comforting to hear your positive evaluation of the Hasegawa Phantoms. Gives me more enthusiasm for building the USN F-4B I have in the stash. It's always a pleasure to watch you at your best Nathan. Thanks.

Thanks for the good words everyone. Mike, I'm glad the decals look acceptable because they can be hit or miss for me sometimes, even in this case when there are so few of them.
It looks outstanding to me!
I am astounded when I see the results of an expert like you having affixed decals that look like the full scale bird and I'm in awe of your phinesse in the weathering arena as well.
Many kudos and phelicitations!

That looks awesome Nathan! Love the finish on this bird!
Thanks Joe! No real problems with this build. Just a big plane and work on fitting the ordinance and the jammer pod up front took some time, as did the weathering...like always
..............and there aint a thang wrong with that!!! I've been watching these aircraft come together on other forums and they look like they come together fairly nicely. You did 'er proud with this one Nathan.

Thanks guys. Good to see you all checking in here.
Bvallot- do you mean what do I think about all the stencils seen on many Navy Phantoms? I guess I always do a thorough check of references and try and find the exact bird I want to model, or if not find one in the same squadron or wing around the same era. Some really did have hundreds that really stand out in photos. I do think a good mist coat over the stencils to help tone them down is probably a good idea in 1/48 scale. Most Hill Gray Phantom's had mininmal stencils, so it wasn't an issue in this particular build.
Nice looking Phantom! Great work!

-It's Omar, but they call me "O".
Nathan, how do you feel about the over application of decals on the Phantom considering the 1:48 scale? In other words...considering how certain details aren't always so visible or shouldn't stand out so harshly. Thoughts...?

Beautiful paint there!! Phrighteningly beautiful! =D
Love it! Anything from the 52nd Fighter Wing is OK in my book.

So, after a bit of a pause..., This one is finally done! I ended up using Speed Hunter Decals and a pair of Eduard AGM-88 Harms. Hope you all enjoy and feel free to ask and comment away!

How have I missed this one? Man, you are really doing nice work there. I love the Phantom, it is without question my Fave jet. I need to dig out my Sundowner and get it going soon.
