Hi Toshi,

Glad to see your trying a small scale.  I built one of these many years ago.  Looks good sir!

Hi Toshi,

Thank you scottrc.  I tried this scale for the first time.  It's refreshing to do something different.  Thank you for your support in my projects.  I greatly appreciate it!

Thank you, I think my grandson is adorable as well.  I love him so much!  Thank you for the comment on my B-17G build.  It's coming along nicely.  I'm currently at the decal stage.

The decals are Cartograph and they are nicely done.  Thank you for the read and reply!

After letting the decals set for a day, I went ahead and sprayed Model Master Flat Clear Acrylic #4636 to seal the decals in and to return the "Mercy's Madhouse" B-17G back to a flat Olive Drab.

I was going to do "Screaming Eagle" 545th BS 384th BG Grafton Underwood 1944.  And utilize a paint I just purchased in which I've never seen before.  I wanted to paint the "Screaming Eagle" B-17G silver or NMF in modeling terms.

The paint I purchased is a Vallejo Acrylic Metal Color Air Brush Ready Color.  I was so excited in using this new product for me but I told my self to be patient and wait till my P-38 Lightning arrives.  It's coming from Korea and the Eduard Brassin Master Set is coming from Australia.

Well until that arrives in which might be a while, I'll finish up this B-17G project and see if Mrs. Toshi can take me to Hobby Lobby for a new kit to buy.  LOL!

Below are the photos of the decaled "Mercy's Madhouse" 385th BS 303rd BG Molesworth 1944.

Here is my completed  1/144 B-17G.  I would recommend this kit to everyone.  I can't wait till my grandson is old enough to build models.  Especially this one!

Cute grandson you have there!

Nice B-17 too.  I built that Minicraft B-29 in 1/144 many years ago, these kits are a nice diversion from the overly complicated kits that come in larger scales.

Thank you Aggieman, I really love my grandson!  As for your comment on my B-17G, thank you so much.  A B-29 to go with this B-17G would be a very cool idea.  Now you got me thinking!

I've never made a 1/144 kit until now.  Your statement is true in that; "It's a nice diversion from the overly complicated kits that come in larger scales"!  This little build was definately fun!  Thank you sir for the read and reply!

Nice job Toshi,

The thing I like about 1/144 scale is that the whole process is simplfied.  If you build them "out of the box" - its simply: build, paint, decal, DONE !

I like the olive drab / neutral grey scheme on the B-17.  You've done a great job with it.

Thank you Bossman.  Yes, you described the build process of a OOB 1/144 Exactly.  I too like the OD/Gray sceme for a nice change.  I almost did a NMF on this build.  A member asked if I was considering the 303rd BG.  I did because of the information I got, this group of aircraft were all OD.  Thank you Bossman for visiting my 1/144 B-17G build!

Good work on this little model! It's a pleasure, as always, following your builds. I think your fortress turned out very well indeed.

Toshi, you never fail to amaze me! Great job on the little guy.  Smile  My 1/48 B-17 is the elephant in the room with a 29" wingspan. I think I should have gone 1/72 and moved to the B-36 area of the museum! lol!

Good work!
