I thought it was getting to be that time of year again...

Time to start looking for something I can build in 48 hours.

Hi y'all,

The weekend madness has been on my mind lately but I've been rather busy and have not followed up on it.  Good to see you are all eager for round IV!  Cool

I will start a new GB thread very soon and get things rolling.

As for a date.  Let's shoot for November 19th and 20th with the option of doing it the weekend before or after if you can't make that weekend work (same set up as last year).  Remembrance day is the weekend before and Thanksgiving (US) is the week after so that will give people plenty of options.  That will also give everyone a month to get their stuff together.

Now... about that badge...  Devil

As always, I'm down for this. As far as I know, any weekend is good for me. At least this time around we know we won't get a massive forum makeover dumped in our laps right smack in the middle of this thing...

IIRC it's usually a three day weekend such as Veterans Day weekend.

Weekend Madness IV?
Posted by dupes on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 11:01 AM

It's getting colder here (fast), which made me think about the Weekend Madness series...we're only about a month away from the usual timeframe - this going to happen again this November?

Razor, you out there? Captain

That looks very cool Bill.  I had never heard of this aircraft and I rather like it.  Propeller  Really nice lean lines.  I can't believe you finished this over one weekend.  All resin and four engines!?!  You definitely earned your badge on this one.  Bow DownBow DownBow Down

So I finished Monday night, and couldn't take pics outside till this a.m.

The Republic XF-12 Rainbow. Two were built in 1946, and never made it past the evaluation stage. 450 mph made it the fastest four engine piston aircraft ever. Powered by Wasp Major R4360's.

Good to see everyone jumping in for a second go at it.  PropellerPropellerPropeller

P38jl:  The second weekend was an option for those who couldn't participate in the designated weekend for whatever reasons.  Bondo is the only one who selected this option and everyone else who is building is just looking for an excuse to do it again because they had so much fun the first time.

ah,, I see.. I must missed that somewhere.. hope no one minds I did another... lol

Dave, I guess this build just wasn't meant to be.  I did start the Hawk, but won't be finishing her either.  You will see the X-13 finished as well as the Hawk.  I'm in the mood for decalling, so I think I'll be doing the Hawk as this, rather than the Fleet Air Arm bird.  This where I stopped.

And this is what I hope she'll look like.

Even though I'm one for three, it's my favorite GB of the year.  Dave, thanks for hosting this madhouse once again.
