Guys- I am back from my "working vacation"... I have to agree with you this time.  Sitting and listening at workshops for three days can be tiring but nothing beats hitting the beach when I am free.  My co-worker and I managed to make a quick trip down to Key Largo for scuba diving and it was just great!!!

Unfortunately I only have two 'working vacations' every year.  Next one will be in Salt Lake City, Utah in October.

Geist- Welcome aboard!  I must have misunderstood you earlier because I had you down for StuG III Ausf G instead of Pz III.  Is it still Cyber-Hobby?

armor86- Sounds like you are a big fan of Panzer III.  It would be great if you can sign up for this GB with your Pz III Ausf J with short 50cm.  That would help us close that gap for Ausf J initial.  Just let us know if you are interested.  Thanks and welcome to the forums and don't hesitate to post your Pz III Ausf G when you are done.

Rob-  You ordered FIVE kits?  Sounds like you need this therapy more than any of us! LOL  I can not decide between Strum 33 and Pz. Bef.Wg III on flat bed... both looks GREAT!  Why don't we wait and see how things come out later this year to see if those gaps need to be closed or not.

MAJ Mike-  You have to try those Mojito drinks in Miami Beach... Toast

Boyd- Heck yes, Dupes is a bad influence... he got me into starting  Pz III GB after following his Pz IV GB last year.  Promise you if you sign up he will go away... Wink

Almost five weeks to go... I know it is driving our friend Ben (Hinksy) driving... gonna tune to BBC to make sure there is no reports of a young man jumping off theTower of London.

Sign me up for the Pz III Ausf J with short 5cm L42 gun. I'm on a business trip till May 24 and have had lots of time to spend on the Ausf. G, just got the fenders mounted ... don't have a digital camera with me though. When I get home I'll post some photo of it along with the Pz IV. Ausf. F1 I finished while out in N. Virginia.

The FedEx guy just brought my newest additions to my PzIII collection.  Dragon USA had a sale going on and I picked up the Flammenpanzer III and the Auf G Afrika Korps at 1/2 price.  Very nice...

armor86- That's GREAT!  I got you down for Panzer III Ausf J Initial.  Thanks for helping us close that gap!  Looking forward to this.

satch ip-  Don't hesitate to post pictures of your new addition... remember we love pictures! Stick out tongue  Just to make sure you are still doing Pz Ausf F and K... is that correct?

Guys- So far we have 23 participants... it is looking real good!  Off to do some yard work.  Somebody has to keep my wife happy...

SWEET!!!  Fed Ex man just droped off my order from Dagon USA Stick out tongue  Received all the kits as posted earlier.  All togther (if you break these value packs apart) got:  2 tanks (PZ III Ausf K, 15cm Sturm-Infanteriegeschutz 33), 3 train cars (Schwerer Plattformwagen Typ SSy "flatcar", S.Sp. Artilleriewagen "with PZ III turet", railway Gondola Typ Omar), and 4 figure sets (Waffen tank crew 1944/45, German 6th army, German Feldendarmerie with dogs, German AA gun crew).  With the sale at Dragon all of this was what have been about the price of two kits!  On top of that, it was free shipping and received a free Concord book and received money back ($9.50) towards my next purchase with them.  I think thats a NICE dealYes

With all the train cars, guess one could guess of the dio that will be coming in the near future.

OOOHH the drool is flowing!!!!!

Dragon USA Online is pretty ridiculous that way...some of their sales are amazing. I'm surprised that a lot of the retailers (even online ones) who buy from them are too happy.

But I sure am! Stick out tongue

Armor86- This will help you.  Our friend DoogsATX wrote a great blog how to post photos a while ago.  I found his information very helpful...

http://doogsmodels.com/2011/01/27/how-to-post-your-photos/

Now you can go back and edit your posts below doing the right way.  Good luck!

Armor86- It worked.  Looks like you owe Doogs a Beer or two.  Your Pz III looks great especially the steel cables in the rear.

Man, now I can't wait to start mine... Tongue Tied

ARMOR86 - Those are some sweet looking builds.  The color and weathering on that Pz IV is very nice.

Really looking forward to building my Stug but in the meantime trying to figure out converting a Pz III Ausf K into an Ausf M.  Posted this question in the Armor section and with what Wild Bill had said I have ruled out converting to an L.  If all else fails will leave it as an Ausf K.  I have already built a K, it was among some of my early builds so if I was to make another K it would just be an improvement.  Here's a shot of my old Ausf K.

As you can see there are many improvements needed on this one.  Maybe thats one of the things will do while waiting for this GB to kick off.

ANDY - How rude of me Embarrassed good to have you back and glad your trip was a good one Big Smile

Great looking build.  I especially like the subtle, not over-done weathering.  Some guys are so good at it that they go way overboard (IMAO).  What a jewel of a model!

Looks pretty good ... weathering and paint real good ... are you wanting to build a M or L ? I have a older DML 9015 (Ausf. M/N) on the shelf ... purchased after market Schurzen ... looking through Achtung Pz the K has a IV turret ... good luck.

Thanks guys.

Think will try to make a M.  I have an extra Pz III turret so I'm thinking should not be to difficult.  If I understand correctly there are no real differences in the K, M hull except some extra vision ports on the right side.  Those can easily be filled in.  Still have to research and decide.

CHAZZER - Thats great news, nothing like delivery day!  With the extras you got should make a real nice build.

armor86- Great work on your Pz III Ausf F! Yes  Looking forward to your WIP on Ausf J Initial after July 1st.

Rob- Loved your old Ausf K!  It would be fun to see how your second K comes out.  How long ago did you build the old K?  Thanks buddy, it is great to be home!  Had enough of topless ladies at Miami Beach. Paradise No kidding...

Chazzer-  Nice stash!!! Yes Know the feeling... I love it when UPS or Fed Ex delivers the packages.  Expecting two packages within a week and of course my wife knows. Wink

Guys- I think it is great posting old Pz III or StuG III builds to keep the excitement going!

You have to Heart my wife!  I brought three Achtung Panzer books yesterday.. early birthday gift.  I think those books are one of best reference books out there!  There are seven books for this series and I am about to have five of them so far...  Stick out tongue EvilBay is GREAT!

Mike, the reference book is German Tanks of World War Two in Action written by George Forty. Brand new for $12.00! It's a bit older, dated 1987. I got it on clearance, Its FULL of in-action Pict's and infoBooks.

I guess I could read it before foreplay? LOL

Chazzer:  The nice thing about getting references for a build is that they remain useful in the future.  Have a good one.
