Ok guys, looks like this Christmas was a success! I just got home from the party and it appears there is a proper display case on its way to me! It sure as hell won't be big enough for my multi-engined 1/32 kits, but there's plenty of room for a lot of other models (it's 80cm x 45cm x 180cm big)!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

I looked for a pic, but decided I could not beat Jacks!

Clemens, it looks like Santa was good to you! Congrats!

Seasons's greetings to everyone.

If it is OK to join this GB still, could you please help me out with a Me109 suggestion

Zack

Suggest what? A kit? Markings?  Otaki 109G (ebay) is a great little kit.  Hasegawa, Zvezda, Eduard also make great 109's  Revell's new 109G6 & 109G10 in 1/32 are real nice as well if not a bit over engineered...  Pro Modeler 109G10 (1/72) is another choice. You'll need to fine one on eBay.

Of course you can still join. This GB hasn't even started yet, so there's plenty of time left.

There are lots of 109 kits out there, with prices ranging from relatively cheap to really expensive. Is there anything particular you have in mind? (scale, version, pilot/unit/nation)

Handi... Welcome! You and Herman never fail to do great builds!

Zack...As was mentioned earlier, the new RMX G-6 and 10 are very nice kits and affordable to boot. Otaki, Arii, Fujimi, all make affordable kits but would need some PE for the office, all nicely detailed and engineered but sadly lacking in the pit area. I like the older Matchbox kits and as always, the Hasagawa line usually pleases. Welcome aboard!

Haha. No kidding. Is it midnight local time or midnight 0000GMT, "ZULU" time as our reference? Now, we're really splitting hairs! Then we'll all start at the same time..that is...except those of us who have to work on New Years Eve. Crying

Finished this one last night so the bench is clear for the start. This is the new Trumpy G-10. A little more expensive than the RoG G-10, but easier to build and not the Erla version, so we need both. Used some AM stuff. Eagle Parts spinner and battery box, G-Factor gear legs, and BarracudaCast wheels.

Nice looking Hungarian machine. I've read some folks think it might be blue 12?

Thanks guys. The profile I was working from initially was from MMP and showed it as blue 12. In Brett Green's book on late war camo he refers to it as red 12. However, I was steered to a great reference with a very detailed account of this plane, and it says yellow 12. The book is from JaPo and is "Luftwaffe Over Czech Territory-1945 Part II, Messerschmitt Bf 109G-10/U4 Production & Operational Service". Fantastic book for anyone interested in late war 109 camo. Also, the Montex set I used said yellow 12.
