BK, I would like to change my entry to the 1/72 Academy F-8E Crusader OOB. I will be trying to swap the Tornado (and a few other kits) a for a 1/350 German destroyer in the next IPMS meeting. I was looking through my stash and totally forgot I had the F-8, which is a shame as I really like that plane and always wanted to build it.

BTW, you should really try to make it to the meeting sometime. In Boise, not too far from you if you go straight down State Hwy.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Well, I have finally got started on this kit, if everything goes as planned, I may be able to add another kit to this GB. Here's what I have so far. Hopefully I'll get a coat of primer on the office area today and get some other shots added.

I just found a Basler turbo prop conversion to convert the new Airfix C-47 into U.S. Forest Service smoke jumper aircraft

That would be SUPER cool. Awesome, do that one for sure.

Brandon,

Sign me up for the classic Hasegawa EA-6B.  Markings will probably be from a slightly younger Microscale sheet.  However, I just found a Basler turbo prop conversion to convert the new Airfix C-47 into U.S. Forest Service smoke jumper aircraft.

Ok, BK, I've thought about it and count me in. I'll enter this 1/48th Kinetic F-16B. When I saw the cool Flying Tigers anniversary decals for this Republic of China (aka Free China/ aka Taiwon) fighter I had to pick it up. And it's gotten rave reviews, should be interesting as it's the first F-16 I've ever built (believe it or not- modeling 35 or so years and never built a Viper).

Since this build is long enough, I'm gonna add another one of my kits that needs to be build, nah, let's do 3 kits.

Hobby Boss F-111D

Academy F-4B

Great Wall Hobby Mig-29

All in 1/48. This way I will be forced to get them done, instead of wanting to get them done.

Tony, i found that Dragon kit rather nice. I built their Mistel 5 a few years back and they use the same 162 kit. The onyl fit issue was where the tail cone fits onto the fuselage, needs some filler there. I'll be doing the Dragon 162 on its own along with the revell 32nd late rthis yera, so looks like we will be awash with Volkjagers.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Piers, I would love to see more helo's. Bring it on as it is certainly "modern" in more than one way. Welcome aboard.

Hi Brandon Do helicopters fit the definition? I have a Cobra getting close to the top of my build list... If not then there will be something else I am sure. Piers

BrandonK,

Here is the kit I'd like to enter, 1/48 Hasegawa F-16B

But, I will let you decide if this is more than 10% complete:

Cockpit was opened to allow for an Aires resin cockpit set, and drop tanks were glued together.

Most sprues are still intact

This the the Aries cockpit set and engine set. I did sand down the cockpit to fit into the fuselage. Still have some fitting to do.

These are the decals I plan to use. It will be one of the Michigan ANG 191st FIG "Six Pack"

I'll let you decide if it's more than 10% complete. If you believe so, I have plenty of other subjects, so that won't be a problem.

Thanks!

Gamera

Hey BK, didn't notice this was running for 18 months till just now. I might jump in on this, depending on how things go over the coming months. I assume a F-15, F-16, or Su-22 would work?

Indeed, they would all work nicely.

Hi Brandon, Put me down for a 1/72 DML He 162 please. I've just taken the parts from the sprue, so I hope thats ok for the 10% completed rule. Cheers Tony

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

I'll jump in with a Hasegawa 1/72 Italian Tornado. Nothing fancy just OOB. I probably won't start until next year but at the rate this year is going it will feel like next week.

I'll join in with Tamiya's 1/32 F4D.  Will be done as Ritche's 67-463, with a sheet of Print Scale decals.  Have an Eduard cockpit set of PE and the full Verlinden resin office and nose PE as well. Don't know how much of that I'll use as I don't know if I'll do an open radome or not.

Won't get started on it till late in the year, have MC's sub build up first but will get started as a fill in while the sea base is curing.

Got to finish up the Betty for Gamera's GB as well.....maybe in July.
