@Griffin, fantastic finish on this 113! And the figure tops it off perfectly. Great job!

@Nick, The wildcat looks spectacular! The weathering is really well done.

She's a beauty!!  Might have to keep my eye out for a 1/48 tamiya wildcat at my LHS.

Really nice work Griffin.  I started doing figures for this exact reason - adding context and scale.  Well done.

Thanks,

John

That looks real Griffin. I agree that the base is effective for this. Congratulations on turnng a shelf queen into an excellent and interesting model.

I've updated page one, and thank you for being such a great contributor to this GB.

Cheers

Thanks guys! Well this one is done. The base is a little small but I needed to use it for something and it works for this scene. The Egyptian vulture is a little over the top but what the heck. I made that out of a Tamiya goose. Maybe it's his therapy pet. The guy is taking a picture of the script on the side of the M113. That's my story. Just to be clear I have zero support for Hezbollah. I just thought it would make an interesting subject and I had fun on this build. Thanks for having me and I look forward to seeing everyones builds.

Great job Griffin!

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

The Hezbollah guy is done. The shemagh, thanks for teaching me something Bish, was difficult but overall he came out ok. Next I'm going to put the M113 and the RPK guy on a base I made a few years ago then I'll be done with.... erie voice ..."Shelf of Dooooom".

Thats what we called them, but there are otehr names. We got issued green ones, prety essental bit of kit when driving armour.

I live the figure, thats really come out great. Is that a camera in his hand?

The Wildcat just gets better and better.

I have an Amati 1/10 bust somewhere in the stash that has similar headgear Griffin. FOr that reason I may never paint it :)

Steve. Holy cow the weathering on that Wildcat is super!

John. That Mirage kit comes with all those decal options? Wow. I thought they were am?

Bruce l. The type 4 looks great with the filter.

I'm still messing around with my Hezbollah guy. I've got the base colors on and some dry brushing. The headscarf is kicking my butt. I've done it 3 times. How the heck do people paint that sh$t??!  The box art is photoshoped! Lol

Wow that wildcat looks great!

Bish - I was set on doing VMFT-401, the US Marines aggressor in tan/brown/green.

After looking over the decal sheet there's another scheme from the same squadron in tricolor blues/grays like russian aircraft, so I'm on the fence.

Thanks,

John

taxtp thank you its a labor of love.

Bish awesome work on that dio.

jack hey its all good on my wildcat canopy between the mask and the ak interactive paint turned it in to a gummy mess in the brake fluid it went came out like new to start all over again.

well i hope that covers every one. I fixed my cracked nozzle on my air brush Im back in the saddle. I dirty up the wildcat now back to masking that %*#*ing canopy!!

Hi Bish,

Magnificent work on the Ostwind dio, I think it's come up really well, and much better than having a damaged model on the shelf. COngrats on being the first to finish a build. I've updated page one. I've added your Tiger I and Schwimmwagen dio to the roster, please let me know if it's not right.

Hi Eric

Good to see you've started on the Hawk. I'd love to participate in or run a Matchbox GB at some stage.

Hi Bruce

Your type 4 looks suitably toned down, I like that wash. What did you use for it, as I may use the same in future.

Hi Griffin

Your 113 complete with Ayatollah poster is looking authentic. I'm looking forward to seeing it in its completed state.

Hi John

What scale is your Esci Mirage ? I'm guessing 1/48. Anyway I've added it to the roster. Nice job on the paint for it and the egg plane.

Cheers

Tony

Yes my ESCI Mirage is 1/48,  need to figure out how to make it look a little more sun bleached.

Nice looking dio Bish, looking forward to seeing that Tiger.

Cheers Steve, and i am looking forward to getting the Tiger done as well. As shocking as it may sound, i don't have a completed Panzer VI of any kind on the shelf.
