2019 Silly Egg Group Build
Posted by Gamera on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 4:57 PM

2019 Silly Egg Group Build.

Rules???

Who needs stinkin' rules!?!

The only rule is there are no rules!

Well, one other - NO SERIOUS BUILDS!!!

Start date April 1st- April Fool's Day.

End date- October 1st.

I figure since most of these kits are fairly simple a six month run should be more than enough.

I have ALL the Meng tanks and have built 7 of them. i need to do an aeroplane so i will join with a Meng PE-2 and/or the Tiger Models LA-7.

Probable future builds include the U-boat and the Zvesda Fire and Rescue RYKER airport firetruck.

This is my first group build.  Please put me down for the Hasegawa Hughes 500.

As this is my first time participating, what are the badges for? Embarrassed

When you complete the build in the timeframe given, you can "collect" the badge and put it in your signature line.  That is why most here have pics or gif's in the sig block on their posts.  They have enoyed the builds and want to show they participated.

We just be one big happy family, and glad to have you hop on board.

Gam, I'm looking at a Hase F-15.

Probably more to come after.

Ok I shouldn't do this but put me down for a hasegawa SR-71.  I've had the kit for like 20 years,  I'll never do it if I don't do it now.

Now what box is it hiding in?

I also have a Zvesda "Bravo" Disney plane that's half finished can I include that one too?

Ok, here are my 2 ready to go.  Bravo has primer on him and I still need to find some jolly roger decals to replace tha awful stickers that came with the kit.  And the other my SR-71,  finally found which crate it was hiding in.

John: Looks good! I didn't even think about pre-started kits but I did say there were no rules so I can't rule Bravo out even if I wanted to! So you sir are a go on both! Yes

I think it's the only way I'm ever going to finish Bravo,   he's been sitting on my work bench staring at me for like 2 years!

Gosh! This brings back such memories! I did quite a few of these Hasegawa egg planes back in the 80s.

Thanks for this Yes

Since the start of the GB is close to Easter as well as April Fools, I thought I'd grab hold of the 'egg' idea and give it a little twist as a possible badge:
