Well gents, let's do this. A 3rd Floats and boats GB.

Rules are simple.

The aircraft must be able to land and/or take off from water. It can be just about anything that fits the bill. Sea planes, flying boats or even pontooned helos.

Civilian or military is fine.

Any scale

Any nation

Any era

Crossovers welcome

Starts with no more than 10%

Participation and many pics a must.

Runs from Jan 1 2022 to June 31 2023.

I'll jump in the deep end of the pond.  1/48  Modelcraft 172 Cessna floatplane.  Since it is pretty much basic, might actually have a chance of completion.

I have never finished a GB yet Embarrassed, but something is coming in the mail that checks off all the boxes (it's floaty, boaty, and super-weird).  OK, OK, no suspense - it's Takom's "Lun" Ekraonoplan:

Ok BK, I'll have a crack at this with the Eduard Sopwith Baby float plane. Don't know how it will go as aircraft are not my best subjects, plus it's a biplane and its got lots of pesky PE. But nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Thanks BK. From what I was reading it quickly was nicknamed Seacow by the crews due to its poor performance. An interesting aircraft to build even though it saw very limited service.

Hi , I would like to join in with the Mach 2 , 1/72 Martin P6M Seamaster

I've built a few Mach 2 kits in the past , so I'm aware of the fit challengers that come with the kit . I bought the kit online back in 2012 , 10 years sitting on the shelf is long enough .

That is one weird looking plane. I saw one about 30 years ago in New Jersey.
