Not too shabby...definitely not something I'd want to see inbound on my position.  I'd be looking for a nice, deep hole to jump in, and hope something else caught the pilot's eye as he made his gun run.  What scale are you working in with this one?

Now THAT is cool!Cool [8D] With a few more weps on board, you could make it into a Specter Warthog. You should bring that bad boy over to What if modelers. I know a few people who would really enjoy that.Smile [:)]

Thanks Eddie I'll head over there later as for the "Warzenschwein" I haven't added the ordinance yet it will be getting a couple of gunpods 3 or 4 and 8x cluster bombs as well as 6x "Aussenseiters" missles (Mavericks) the Gau-8's replacement is a 75mm autocannon firing APFSDS or HEAT rounds that reminds me I still have to make a rather Large shell casing ejector chuteMischief [:-,] the aircraft will have the name "Stuka Zwei!"as the pilots name for the aircraft

Looking good, everyone!  Some mean flying machines being created, that's for sure.  Keep the updates coming.

Hi guys,

I'm not in this build but I can't belive nobody thought to build a Blue Angels A-10!Laugh [(-D]

I must say this was a great idea for a group build. Let your imagination and creativity run wild!

Or the JASDF Blue Impulse team, RCAF Snowbirds,Russia's White Knights ( I think?) etc etc imagine all the low & slow manuvers capable with the "Hog"

as for me I'm in the middle of scratchbuilding 4 Mk50 arial torpedos for my S/A-10N BTw does anyone have any spare 1/48 refueling probe TIPs I scratchbuilt my A-6 style refueling probe but I haven't had any success making the probe tip look right

seems a little far fetched to me, i mean i know the hawg can fly slow but i don't know about that slow, even with a parachute. i'll stick to harpoons and penguins

Thats what the drouge chute on the rear of the torp is for if it works for the S-3 Viking I figure it will work for the Hog and the Mk50 compliments the brace of harpoons it will carryBig Smile [:D]

true i forgot that the viking carried the mk50. well my build will have this: three engines, the third will be mounted directly above the fuselage between the standard 2. the avenger is getting replaced by twin 40mm Bofors cannons. the wing will be slightly stretched to accomidate another fairing on each wing, like the one for the landing gear, each of which will hold a 30mm Rarden cannon (off of a scorpion recon tank). the 2 outer fuselage hard points will each carry 2 shortened harpoon missiles, these can be removed to allow a gun pod to be mounted on the centerline hardpoint. other weapons will include penguin anti-ship missiles, and 500lb. laser guided bombs. A FLIR and laser designator will be mounted on the nose (thanks for the idea eddieBig Smile [:D]) and the nose gear will be replaced by one off of a f-18 hornet to allow for carrier operations, as well as the arrestor hook. i think i too will try to make a refueling probe, but i think i'll try a harrier style rather than an intruder type.

Not much to report, except for 2 pix with a weapons load and one slick, from the ceiling. Hopefully I'll get some inspiration to move forward soon.

That.... is beautiful...... Drop everything you're working on until it's done. As for me, I've been following this GB for quite a while, and I've been thinking about picking up a Hog to do.... still not sure how I want to do it, though.

Alright, as per your request, I'm working on mine, now you get yours going.Wink [;)]Big Smile [:D] Here's the tail config that I'm going with. I think all I've got to do now is get the "turtleback" over the engines and I can start puttying......

I think this makes five.Dunce [D)] That's the way I do things. If you go back and look at any of my past builds, you'll see that my projects go through many changes before they're done. When I start a project, I never have plans, only ideas, and many times suggestions from you fine people end up being part of the build.Big Smile [:D] Plus, I'm not completely sure I'm happy with this layout.Black Eye [B)]Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]
