The In My Stash GB
Posted by kenny_conklin on Monday, November 13, 2006 1:24 PM

Well I am sure most of you if not all of you have a nice stash of kits going just as I do . And we all look at them and say one day I will get to that and get it done. And they still sit there on the shelf. So here is my idea.

1. Any scale

2. Any Genre

3. Must be from what you have at home

4. Diorama or Stand alone project

5. Any extras you want to put into your build

6. Have fun fun fun

The start date would be January 1, 2007 just incase you get a model for the holiday season. End date would be December 31, 2007. Plenty of time if you have a big build ahead of you. Not sure what i want to do from my stash yet but still have plenty of time to decide. If anyone is intresetd let me know and we will start a list of participants. and if we get the build going we can decide on what type of badge we want. see you all soon .

thats not a bad idea my stash isnt that big but enough to keep me occupied. i am leaning towards either my titanic which has been sitting around for about 7 years or my uss enterprise aircraft carrier which has been around for about 2 or 3 years :) i figured too usually people stay in there own genre if we have a build of all different types in one more peoplr will get to know each other and may be intrested in doing something a little different

Yeah.  My stash really isn't that big either but i would really have a hard time picking one for this build.  My vote would be to let another person in the build pick it

That sounds like I cool idea.  I have many aircraft kits, but I also have several car kits that I could do.  Maybe I will do a 1964 Impala wit hydraulics.  I used to build them many years ago and compete at lowrider shows.  I had this killer 85 chevy van that I would dance the pants off, that won several awards.  It had a mean killer front hop - could get about two inches off the ground.  Man that brings back memories....

TO BE CONTINUED...........fade to black.

Hi,

count me in. I'm not totally sure what I'll build yet but most of my stash is either 1/48 Japanese WW2 aircraft or 1/72 helicopters, with a few other things in there for good measure.

Now I think about it, maybe I'll do one of each. Put me down for the Eduard 1/48 Ki-115 Tsurugi and a Revell 1/72 Chinook. My current projcts should be almost done by then.

I would like to join this build.  This would be my first GB, so if i seem a little clueless, have patience. Smile [:)]

Just let me know what I need to do.  By the way... I think having the group pick the model is a great idea.

I'm fine with that. If not a picture then perhaps a list will do? My stash is not all in one place and would take a few photos to cover it all. (Like me, it has put on a bit of weight recently Blush [:I])

Just thought I would put this in for fun.  Here are a couple of pics of my stash.  I have another stash at my mom & dads place.  This is years of collecting.  My girlfriend and friends do not understand why I still buy models when I have a closet full of them.  I tell them it's a sickness and once they have found a cure I will stop.  Tongue [:P]

Well, my stash just grew by 5 airplanes.  Someone was selling 40+
ICM kits on ebay today with starting bids of $3 each.   They didn't
get many (if any) bids, so I was able to buy five kits at a really
good price. What would this world be without eBay?

Now I will have a semi-respectable stash of about 12-13 models.

I want to see Painklr build that 1:48 B-1 bomber!
Nice try, hiding it in the back of the pile, LOL!
Someday, maybe... I will buy and build one of those beasts.
