Tamiya Hetzer and M-10.

For every modeling technique that works, I have three that don't.

J West, welcome to the GB. I've added you to the list. The KV-2 would be a great build with its massive turret.

Ken, welcome to the GB, FSM forum, and back to modeling. I have the same kit also, I built the Ausf B and thought that was a great kit. I like the side skirts that came with the Ausft G.

How are you planning to do the Zimmerit?

Frankly, I was hoping to do some research and find an example *without* the zim...  Otherwise, I'm stalling until I get more of it built, hoping for someone to release a PE or resin kit... Whistling [:-^]

This build will also be my first work with an airbrush, so I'm doing the full-court newbie press!

Here's a picture of one from a musem in France without Zim, I've seen some other sources onthe web also

Hauler & Lion's roar makes PE for the short barrel version, but I think most of the stuff will fit on the G model. I used Lion's roar PE for the B model, as it was one of the cheapest in relationship to what you got for your money. It even included a metal barrel. I got it through luckymodel from HK for about $10 US and I think they have free shipping for Lion's roar & hauler stuff. Lion's roar is made in China, so you get a much better deal from a HK source.

Waikong, can you put me down for this one.

Not sure what I'll be building yet, possibly a Tamiya T-34.

I've got at least 2 more projects to complete before I start on this one.

Built the Tamiya Beetle last year and that was a breeze, so lookinh forwards to more 1/48 armour.

Hi, figured I'd clarify my project from the other thread... I'm doing the Tamiya Initial Tiger I with the Voyager PE set, stowage from the Tamiya stowage set, and a whole complement of Tamiya figures: all four crew members and some infantry moivng alongside... I did Tiger 332 on the Russian front, with extra details added as per the relatively complete photos of the tank in Tigers in Combat I, and I'm going to do the terrain like the picture a few pages earlier of a Tiger I from the same group (503)  crossing a road during a quiet period while a bunch of infatrymen mill around alongside.

The tank is almost done, working on the tracks now (which I saved for last) then finish installing the outer set of wheels, and then finish assembling and painting the figures, and figuing out how to make the terrain.

I started the Schwimmwagen today.  It is as though I have to paint each part separately and then glue the whole thing together.

On the plus side, the kits looks as well built as the Kubelwagen.

This one will be many shades of panzer gray to contrast with the timber oar and the tools.

I got my VW staff  car in the post today so should be getting started on it pretty soon. There's not alot to the kit so I'm going to be putting it in a dio.

I could'nt find a Kubel in stock so I also bought the Schwimmwagen and might try and incorperate that into my dio,I'll be keeping an eye on your build Rooster.

I'll post some pics up as I progress.
