Today I started the bridge cable mechanism using #08 whipping twine.

First I drilled holes into the drums and set the string in with CA glue.

After the glue sets securely, I'll wrap the string around the drums one layer deep. Then around that pulley at the arm elbow area then to the hook loops on the bridge.

thanks for looking in Smile

I forgot to mention that after the glue set the string ends in the holes, I carefully rotated the drums with a pair of long nose pliers.

they were rotated 180º so the hole will be on the bottom and out of sight

then each coil was strung through and around until I reached the other side of the drum

I didn't know another way of doing this part because there will be hooks glued to each other end at a specific length

thanks, Bill.

the lengths have been figured out and cut. The kit supplied hooks attached to the ends. Painting (weathering) them now

Excellent , A bit anti-climactic though ! By that I mean no guns or armaments. Your work is very good ,especially the primer-wash procedure. Out door shots on a base would be great.

Thank you ,Krow113

This is one of the best looking projects I've seen here in recent history and the new pictures are much, much more on par with the efforts you have expended on this subject.

Everything has come together beautifully, extremely well done and hopefully an indicator of more to come.
