Steve: Love the idea but I signed on with so many GBs last year I was hoping to take it easy this one. If you need one more entry to push you over the edge I'll see what I can work in though!

Good luck with the GB!

Gamera,

Thanks for the reply.

The build would last a year from April to April,  so you would have plenty of time to jump in if you change you're mind.

I,m really hoping you would be interested in my Boeing Group build in June though.

Given the time frame, I would probably get in on this. Though I would not commit my entry until later in the year once I have really cut down how many GB's I am in.

I don't have many artillery gun kits, in fact I have one. But I do have a few of WW2 German rocket launchers. Although this might encourage me to get that Hummel I have been putting off for ages.

Hmmm, I looked around and oddly I don't even have anything from Boeing except a P-26 Peashooter (which I'm scared of the crazy paint scheme) and a B-17 (which I've already started on).

I do have an Douglas A-1 Skyraider and a North American B-25 and several P-51s- both Douglas and North American ended up bought out by Boeing so I guess it sorta makes them Boeing aircraft? You'd have to make the call here!

I'm interested, but wondering if anti-tank pieces would qualify?

In the stash I know I have a 15cm SiG, and I think a German 75mm artillery, but I also have some anti-tank guns like the British 2 pounder.

regards,

Jack

Sorry,  no AT guns.

Just artillery. And not self propelled.  Towed guns w prime movers if you want, mortars,  rocket launchers, missiles, ship board mortars, catapults, railway guns/mortas. My "Thor" wouldn't qualify because it's self propelled.

Gamera,

Yes the Boeing build will have a VERY wide angle. Anything and I mean ANYTHING Boeing. Which includes Boeing and Boeing owned or partnered companies. McDonnell Douglas, Bell, North American, air, space, radar. any era, from the Model 1 to today.
You know those Boeing commercials you see on TV (the telly)? Well let your imagination run.
And the P-26 ain't so hard. I just finished one.

Most certainly!  Count me as a for-sure!

Gimme a holler if you ever need a badge designed.  Mustang1989 gave me one to make and I had a blast making it!

Ok! Yeah, I think Boeing owns about half or more of the US aviation industry now! This summer seems awhile away but I should be able to jump in with something.

i suppose if you had THOR secured to its rail carrier you could argue it would work.

Yeah, but I'd lose that argument, since it's self propelled and just carried to the site using rail carriers. Although I'd really like to use it, I gota keep with my own rules.

I'm kinda leaning toward that Civil War piece.

Awesome!  I'll give a badge a shot but I doubt it will be that cool!   I love "Fire for effect!".

This will be a cool one!

Edit:  Here is what I came up with.  I have another I was looking at and will try tomorrow.  I got rolling and looked at the time...  3am.   Opps.   Oh well!

The First has no texture.  The 2nd has an antique photo filter on it.  Not sure which looks best...  I think the first one but would like opinions.  Hope you like them.

Oh Modelcrazy - I borrow the "fire for effect".   Hope thats ok.

Cody,

Thank you for working on badges, I'm not very good at computer graphics, pretty basic and not very striking, your badges look good.  Yes I like like the textured one myself, It looks all scratched up.

Do you think you can do anything with the Atomic Cannon, just to see how it turns out?.

By the way, "Fire for Effect" was Waynec's idea, but I don't think he'll mind.

i like the first one. remember it will be sized down and the texture probably won't show. it will stand out in a cluster of badges and that is always my first thought when designing a badge.

MC, I didn't want to pass this one up so I've found a way to crossover a rail gun that I was planning on sometime this year. Heres my entry, a Hasegawa Karl-Morser in 1/72. I've been working on some 1/72 items and this will be the last piece before I put together a RR diorama. Even though this is in 1/72, theres still over 400 parts and I can't wait to dig into it. I'll post WIP pics when I get started and thanks for the GB.
