Absolutely georgeous! Toast Toast Toast Toast Toast Fantastic work.

I always wanted one but they were way above my pay grade and mechanical knowledge and ability. I had a buddy who bought one in '66. He put 300 miles on it then put it in his garage saying "This is my retirement car". Over the years I kept asking him if he wanted to sell it and he kept saying no. After he retired in 2008, I asked him how he felt driving the mustang now. Found out he hadn't even started the car once in the last 42 years. It was a wreck. He had it trucked to a place that restored mustangs. The guy told him he'd take $10 bucks to take it to the junk yard. Body rot inside & out, interior totally destroyed and engine rusted up solid like all the rest of the running parts. And I always thought that he was the really smart one of our little group. If I was a little bit bigger and stronger I would have decked the stupid idiot.

Thanks Jim.

That is one crazy story. 10 bucks??? Wow. So sad as there's a million people who'd want a car like that to where it could've been used and enjoyed by at least somebody.

This has been one wonderful journey with you Joe. It is so good to see you build a subject that you have an honest passion for and history with. It certainly shows with the end result. It is wonderful that you dedicated it to your mother and hope this effort helped you process your loss a little.

This beautiful Mustang is definitely a reflection of all the amazing skills and techniques you haved honed over time. A maginifcent culmination. Your knack for detail is impeccable and your ability to bring that detail to such realistic perfection is to be applauded. It is a truly fantastic Mustang.

My father had a '67 coupe sitting in the yard of VW's for many years. It was in rough shape when he acquired it back in the late 70's I believe. At the time it was restorable but, he never did anything with it and it took a beating from the elements to become nothing more than a parts car. Unfortunate that neither my brother nor I took the effort to take care of it better.

Thanks for the wonderful experience my friend.

Outstanding. It looks like it could drive away. A true inspiration for all of us. Very well done.

Joe, I'm late as usual, but had to get the Chipmonk herd up to the summer pasture. Cowboy

So now I can sit down and tell you, you have toped yourself with this one. Back story, Mom -RIP,  so much talent and skill used it makes my eyes water.

Congratulations on a very classic build, of the Mustang fastback I almost bought in 1967 (but in red Smile ). But the Army disided Germany was my future for a while--sigh.

Thanks Joe, Eaglecash, Brandon and Steve. So glad you all liked it.

BTW.....I didn't post this earlier but I did get to lay my hands on Car #1 and Car #2 after 30+ years. They are both in the same wrecking yard in my home town within 15 feet of one another. Car #2 is in the foreground and #1 is just behind it. For what it's worth they are still together and still not crushed out.

If I was a lot younger and a lot more mechanically inclined I'd ask you for the address of the junk yard. Wink
