Turret Truck with Frozen Tuna
Posted by aWintersTale on Saturday, December 6, 2014 4:00 PM

Aoshima's 1/32 Turret Truck used for maneuvering frozen tuna within the fish market.

Fresh tuna.

Frozen tuna.

The one that got away.

Holy cow do you appear to have paint chipping down pat. I'm extremely jealous!

That's a very neat kit and it looks so realistic if it wasn't on your keyboard I'd have thunk you were joshing us.

Yeah, give up the secret man.

Nice, similar to something I use at work every day called a pack mule.

very unusual subject matter. one forgets that tuna are a large fish, since they come in such small tins.

You can tune a piano but you can't tuna fish.

18/18/14 Completed the painting of the included figure, even though figures have been difficult for me, and usually I look for any excuse to forego painting them. But in this case, a turret truck with tuna but without a driver would be out of place. So here are pictures of the driver, taken with my cell phone.

Very nicely dirtied boots on that driver.

Gotta tell him he dropped a fish, though.Whistling

2-13-15. Finally finished this, adding a simple asphalt-modeled base showing  the truck negotiating inside a warehouse. Wanted the driver to appear intent on his work (hence the pupils of his eyes looking towards the right), but contrast that with the ground stains of unknown origin, and a possible ominous end in the direction of the fish bone. The third tuna escapes (?)

This fish tale didn't include the fish tails. Probably the best weathering and wear job I've ever seen, on any project. Completely realistic. Thanks for posting this, I really enjoyed seeing it.

You know somebody was going to post that.

I heard their mechanic was incompetent - he couldn't tune a turret truck, but he could tuna fish.    Badum bum!
