Bish, you beat me to the punch on the hug for D, so please have a bunch of ballons instead....
BTW, back to Green Acres for a sec, I am not a morning person. I recall as a young man, it was on as rerun in early morning while I got ready for work. I remember laughing so hard in the bedroom as I got dressed. I don't think anything has ever made me laugh that early before or since.
And yes, Ernie, Arnold was a hoot!
Oliver!!!!
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

The bit with too many plugs and not enough amps (in the kitchen) always cracked me up too. Impossible for me to work with an extension cord without thinking of Green Acres.
How about Lisa reporting to Oliver (Olivaaah) that the refrigerator light is not working properly cause is goes off as you close the door.

That's a classic, forgot about that one, Ernie.
Arnold is on the right. The guy on the far left thought that he was Oliver's son.
And who could forget the Monroe brothers. Alf and Ralph. I would love to have met the witers of that show.
Your comments and questions are always welcome.
Yeah-- they were all great charactors. I also really enjoyed MR. Haney. That man is the best scammer in the world!
BTW--there is something about Green Acres that reminds me of my cousins and their farm. The parents were not the cleanest people. A few trips up there we were met with chickens running around the house--some even on the kitchen table. The table was stacked with dirty dishes, as was the sink. If she needed a pot for cooking--which was seldom that she cooked--she'd run to the store and buy a new one rather than clean the ones she already has. Doing wash? Good luck with that. My Dad used to joke to me about my Uncle and the pants he wore to and from the milk house. They were black--and that is not the color of the fabric. My Dad joked-- when he takes his pants off at night that he can stand them in the corner. I near soiled myself when he said that.
And scammers? Oh yes. Sadly--they scammed a few people and they were known for it.
When I was a kid, one of the neighbor kids down the street dressed up for Halloween one year wearing a three-piece suit and carrying a pitchfork.
Everybody knew who he was supposed to be!
Green Acres was a good show, but I was always a Hogan's Heros fan. .

As a young teenager watching Hogan and his boys I had the hots for agent Tiger played by Arlene Martel. She was one foxy lady.
If you're a careful observer during some Hogan's Heroes episodes, you can look past the snow-covered roofs of the camp buildings...to see lush green palm trees along the skyline beyond.

You must have noticed that when Arlene, who Ernie was talking about, wasn't in the shot. Eh? Nudge, nudge....wink, wink...

I was fully capable of multi-tasking.
Arlene Martel...Marj Dusay...and the exquisite Leslie Parrish...that show had some of the finest of '60s TV 'babe-dom' as guest stars!
