Smeagol, a lot of the online resources state that no one is completely sure if Tuskens are not human. They may indeed bear some semblance to humans, but from a genetic point of view, Tuskens and humans apparently could not interbreed. As far as someone actually seeing a Tusken without their protective clothing, it seems it was forbidden for them to reveal what they look like except in special circumstances: at childbirth, on their wedding night and during coming-of-age rituals (two events which were often one and the same), and as adults, only in the privacy of their tents with their blood-bound mates. Breaking this rule meant either banishment or death, depending on the specific tribe rules.

Must be the best, and worst job you get to see every movie opening day, then a billion times after.

Jagd, one thing, has it ever been said that tusken raiders actuially arent human?  I dont remember ever reading or seeing anything that said they wernt.

I had an advantage, I was a theatre projectionist when that movie ran.

Er, give me a moment, I'll think of something.

Shown below at right, this refurbished and dressed-up 1981 Dodge M4S Turbo Interceptor PPG Indy pace car could be considered, after Max's black Interceptor, as the nastiest highway avenger going. Name the film.

In a nutshell, after Executive Order 66:

- A'Sharad, believing himself the only surviving Jedi, rejoins the Tusken Raiders, becoming a warlord to several Tusken clans and leading them against the human settlements until he finally comes up against Obi-Wan Kenobi. Old Ben takes him down a few notches and as a result of being humiliated by having his mask removed, the Tuskens turn on A'Sharad, forcing him to leave.

- Becoming a bounty hunter, he soon feels the voice of the specter of the ancient female Sith Lord XoXaan, who offers to teach him the ways of the Sith.

- After resurfacing from the catacombs, A'Sharad discovers that the Emperor is dead, and he goes off to the Unknown Regions.

- Captured by a Yuuzhan Vong scout ship, A'sharad is tortured by the Embrace and subjected to experiments by the Shapers. Vergere teaches him to use his agony to open himself to the dark side. Escaping and destroying the scout ship, A'Sharad takes the name of Darth Krayt and rebuilds the cult of the Sith.

- After many years, Krayt lets loose the Sith-Imperial War, deposes the Emperor and brings about the murder of the current Jedi Order. Krayt rules the galaxy for seven years until he is murdered by his most trusted advisor, Darth Wyyrlok, who believes Krayt was leading the Sith Order to destruction.

That help any, smeagol?Smile [:)]

god darned Jagdwolf, I thought I had a good one there.  Kudos.  Answer me this, do you know what happened to A'Sharad Hett after executive order 66?

One: A'Sharad Hett. However, he was a human. His father, Sharad Hett, was a Jedi that had chosen to go into exile and was indoctrinated into the Tusken culture, and married a human female prisoner. Throughout most of his youth, A'Sharad was under the impression he was half-Tusken, until he later learned that humans and Tuskens were genetically unable to reproduce.

I have a good question, so I'm going to jump on it.

Were there any Tusken Raider Jedi, if so, how many, and name them.

The rules on the first page say that if there is no answer or the answer is unknown within 5 days we move to the next question.  It doesn't restrict who can ask it.  I'd say ask away CJ.

If at first you do succeed, try to hide your astonishment.

Is there like a rule that after seven days anyone can ask a question, thereby jump starting the thread?

In the interest of moving things along I'll assume I was wrong about Executor not being named on-screen and give it to Jagdwolf.  He was right on Avenger as it was mentioned by name to Admiral Piett while Vader was giving terms to the bounty hunters for capture of the Millennium Falcon in Ep V.

Sorry about that.  I watched Empire and Jedi and didn't catch Executor mentioned by name but have also been waiting for anyone to point out anything I missed.  Unless I missed it again, it wouldn't count.

I'm willing to accept Executor as one if I can verify.  I didn't remember hearing it named on-screen and haven't been able to double-check due to the winter storm that passed through here.  Tonight was the 1st time since Monday I could move my car, had to bus to work once they had the buses running again.  I'll check but if someone can name the scene it would help once I get back to check the DVDs.  Sorry about the delay, but I should be able to check by tomorrow night.

Some people spend their whole lives wondering if they made a difference. Gundams don't have that problem.

OK, I hope I didn't goof on this.  I only remembered Executor being referred to as a "command ship" or "Super Star Destroyer" in the movies, never by name.  I kinda meant it as a trick question and if someone could let me know what scene Executor was named in, I'll admit the joke's on me and I'll take the penalty set in the Trivia Quiz rules.  Sorry in advance if I was wrong. Ok, easy Ster Wars one ( I'll try to think of something better for next time ).

How many Star Destroyers were named on-screen in Eps 4 through 6, and what were their names?

Actually, Cosmic J, we have such a representation of both worlds. When the Haudenosaunee first encountered the representatives of certain European nations, initially the Dutch in 1613, the latter were not aware that we practiced very sophisticated, yet simple, diplomatic principles in our dealings with other (first) nations. This had the potential for disrupting the peaceful ways that Haudenosaunee people wished to live. Because our cultures and lifeways were so different, it was essential that a relationship be established based on mutual respect. Therefore, we proposed a treaty of peace, respect and peaceful co-existence, known as the Kaswentha, or Two Row Wampum belt. The belt was made with two parallel rows of purple wampum on a bed of white beads. The white was meant to symbolize the purity of the agreement. The two separate rows of purple beads, were made to symbolize and encompass the spirits of Haudenosaunee and non-Haudenosaunee people and ancestors. Between the two rows of purple beads, three rows of white beads, were placed. These were made to stand tor the friendship, peace and respect between the two nations.

The specific meaning of the belt is as follows, in the form of a Haudenosaunee reply to the initial Dutch treaty proposal:

You say that you are our Father and I am your Son. We say we will not be like Father and Son, but like Brothers. This wampum belt confirms our words. These two rows will symbolize two paths or two vessels, traveling down the same river together. One, a birch bark canoe, will be for the Indian people, their laws, their customs and their ways. The other, a ship, will be for the white people and their laws, their customs and their ways. We shall each travel the river together, side by side, but in our boat. Neither of us will make compulsory laws or interfere in the internal affairs of the other. Neither of us will try to steer the other's vessel.

FYI, the Haudenosaunee still hold many international treaties with the Netherlands, France, Great Britain, and other countries that colonized North America.
