yes! lol.

edit- the one that looks a lot like Sarek's twin klingon brother!Laugh [(-D]

It does not give a name for the klingon, just that he was one of the first with the now infamous klingon forhead.

Sorry, guys, been busy with holiday preparations.  Ok, this one may be considered easy and it's a classic Trek question, but due to time constraints I can't check if you've used it before.  Apologies if I'm repeating.

In the "Original Trek" era ( TOS and movies thru STVI ), who was the only actor to play a Vulcan, Romulan, and Klingon, but never a human, and what were the roles?

See, that's the answer I was trying to bait people toward, but he never actually said that in the movie 2001.  It's part of 2010's recap of 2001, and I think it was in the novel version of 2001 as well...

D'oh! I hate when that happens... Grumpy [|(]

So, is SoD Stitch or Kugai right?

I was going to say it was Carrie Fisher, who played Captain Janeway on "Star Trek: Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea", and The Evil White Queen in "Dirty Harry: Beyond Thunderdome"... Big Smile [:D]

"Open the pod bay doors, HAL"; and he spent the next half hour of the movie not saying ANYTHING, just de-activating HAL's memory modules and going on a far-out trip through infinity.

Space:1999 is correct, but the Eagle was not the intended heavy fighter. The Mark Nine Hawk was the Interceptor's replacement in the event of a massive, concentrated UFO invasion, as the Eagle was designed from the onset as a transporter, and only seven Eagles were equipped with light armament.

According to Starlog #32 (March 1980), the Hawk was tested successfully in 1996 and eight were commissioned in 1997. The Hawk Support Base was completed aboard the Centauri space dock to cut launch time to the barest minimum, but shortly afterwards, the sporadic UFO attacks mysteriously stopped, with none of the Hawks having seen active service. The remaining Hawks were destroyed on September 13, 1999 when the Centauri blew up during the Moon's breakaway.

Your turn, kylwell.

Easy, Space:1999 and the Eagle.

More likely the Hawk - the Eagle was more a multi-purpose trash hauler, but the Hawk was described as a "heavy fighter". Only appeared in one episode if I recall correctly.

Nice looking ship, once kitted (along with the Eagle) by Airfix.

The Eagle was the replacement for the Interceptor, according to Mike Trim.

Okay, for those out there who are Gerry Anderson fans, here's one:

UFO (pronounced you-foh in the series) featured a top secret agency dubbed the Supreme Headquarters Alien Defence Organization, or SHADO (shadow) for short. Taking place in 1980 and beyond, in 1996 it evolved into the Global Defence Command, according to published "history." A new series tentatively named UFO 2 was to take place in the year 1999, with Moonbase greatly expanding in size and abilities.

UFO 2, however, was never made. Name the show that did replace it.

As a bonus, name the heavy fighter craft that were supposed to replace the short-range SHADO Interceptors. (And yes, it did exist.)
