Bingo Jagdwolf.  Your turn.

If at first you do succeed, try to hide your astonishment.

I love the sound effects.  Had sooo much fun watching how they made the LOTR sound effects on the dvds.

Ben Burtt created the sound by combining an elephant call with a car driving on wet pavement.

I think it was something like wind through pipes? Also, Ben Burtt should have created the sound.

Ok so I think this one will be easy, but I want the game to progress so,

How was the soud for the Tie Fighter created, and for bonus points (worth nothing of course)  Who designed the sound?

allthough he dismissed all of these and just said that 42 was the small, random number he thought of, and decided to use, it having no basis in anything

Alternatively, the fundamental problem is that we've been using decimal when we should have been using Base 13

LOL! I always thought Adams' point was that there was no point, to anything, and that we should all just enjoy the ride, but I like your explanation too.

For those who wonder why the answer is 42, not 54, it's meant to explain that feeling you sometimes get that there's something fundamentally wrong with the universe.

And remember, the Guide also tells us the average population density of the universe is 0.  So any sentient beings you meet are the product of a deranged imagination.

Heehee! Big Smile [:D] I thought it was actually a pretty good question, and I didn't want to pounce on the answer right away. Innovation should be rewarded after all...

Good job SG. Your turn to stump us.

It figures!!!Tongue [:P]

I'd never read that book or seen the movie, so I guess that was the clincher right there.

Guess I can go pick up my calculator out of the street......Blush [:I]

I thought it was 6x8=42, but you're right SG, it's 6x9=42.

People... we think logically for a reason.  6 times 9 is a simple math problem, and this is NOT a 'answer the math problem quiz' forum, now is it.  Give it some thought.

Ok, here we go:

In the Star Wars movies, there was one ship from the original trilogy other than Slave I (sorry Boba Fett!Wink [;)]) that made a Cameo appearance in the prequel trilogy. This is a 2 part question- Name the ship, and the Movie it appeared!

It's kinda funny I noticed it too when I saw it the other night on DVD; I'm still cleaning Pepsi stains off the TV screen...Blush [:I]

Warmest regards,

Roger
