That's me at Warner Robbins Museum of Aviation, standing in front of Ferocious Frankie.

And by the way, great museum, they have tons of jets and heavies outside.  The hangars have great displays as well.  I know, I have to get to Wright Patterson some day....

On the bench:  Tamyia Mosquito Mk. VI for the '44 group build.  Yes, still.

That is a great museum G-J. I stopped there this last summer on the way to Savannah and really enjoyed every bit of it!

Here I am in the engine shop. The wife got a candid picture of me that explains the goofy look. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it.)

I had an opportunity to go to the Hendrick engine shop some years ago but didn't wanna start out at the bottom. I had been building motors for several years at that time and guess I figured I knew enough not to have to sweep floors.

Tankerbuilder, sorry I didn't see your post sooner.

I am in the Nashville, TN area

I have no idea when we will be in Texas again, we always seem to be "just driving through" on the way to the Midway(San Diego), Pima (Arizona) or out to Dodge (Kansas) or something,,,,,,,,,I haven't even been to Corpus to look at the Lex yet,,,,,,,,,and the Lex is near the top of my "must see" ships

If I find out she is planning to stop out there, I will pm you beforehand,,,,,,,,,we could have a cup of bad coffee together and swap TINS stories

Buckeye - I'm a sucker for German Shepherds and she's a beautiful girl. How old is she?

When we were looking to add a puppy in our family, the missus didn't want a big dog so we ended up getting a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel.

The reason I'm a sucker for German Shepherds is because after knowing one German Shepherd in my youth who was a neighborhood wanderer, this dog was always by my side protecting me from kids who would pick on me due to my hearing handicap (I'm hard-of-hearing in both ears and wear a hearing aid) even though we never knew who he belonged to. Long story short, one day he simply disappeared. Never knew what happened to him. Only 2 possibilities came to mind - he got hit by a car or he was picked up by animal control.

Not that I post a whole lot, but I definitely read what y'all have to say, I figured I join in!!

This was last September at the Chicagoland race with the little lady. Talk about a somewhat miserable day!!  16 hours in the rain and chilly temps to finally see them get the race in. None the less, had a great time!!

And this is me escaping the crappy Chicago weather a few weeks ago to enjoy a nice frosty adult beverage in Mexico!!

Good answer, TarnShip. Yep, that's definitely Ricky Skaggs. And, he is married to Sharon White, of the Whites. Some of the best, if not THE best, bluegrass & stained-glass bluegrass you'll ever hear. My dream concert would be Ricky, Marty Stuart, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Angus Young, Eric Clapton, Steve Wariner, Eddie Van Halen, and BB King. THAT would be the ultimate concert for me...

The picture was taken in Bremen, Georgia, back in April 2012, when Ricky was playing a very new music hall there (a converted grocery store, of all things). If you look up Bremen, GA, you'll see that it is a very small town about 50 miles west of Atlanta just off of I-20. Population of maybe 10,000. Never would've thought that I'd see class acts like this in that little town, but they've got a regular line-up of big-name acts appearing there constantly now. Too bad I had to move to Charlotte, NC............

Where are you located?  I work about 5 miles from that stadium.  I actually live in Yorkville.  Are you in a club in the area?

Hey wolf, I'm right across the state line in Munster, IN. Joliet is about 30-40 minutes for me. No clubs yet for me, need to work on my skills before I'll talk to other about models. Haha

U.S.S. Silversides in Muskegon, Michigan

During my morning commute

I like to build WWII fighter planes (1/48scale) and Science Fiction models. I haven’t been able to put the time into the hobby like I want but I stab at it when time allows. If I were to live a long life, I’d like to spend most of my time building models during my retirement.

I enjoy reading and watching documentaries on WWII European Theatre history. I also like to read science fiction. Some of my favorite authors are Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury and Arthur C. Clark. I collect Star Trek (TOS) novels, technical manuals and memorabilia.

My other favorite activity is bicycle riding. I currently bicycle commute 28 miles/day, year round (I’m kind of proud of that). I also join up with local group rides in the city. My family and I like riding bicycle trails. I plan on riding as long as I’m able. Here's my Chainlink page.

I was a full time drummer in my youth. I practice every day before heading off to my job. I really enjoy playing my drums. I have no desire to perform anymore; I simply enjoy the art of drumming. Some of my favorite drummers are Bill Bruford, Gavin Harrison, Neil Peart, Buddy Rich and Stewart Copeland. I like to listen to jazz.
