Well honestly my comment was not directed at you but since you feel like it applied I will add to my previous comments. You have some valid points there and I will gladly cut anyone some slack that is willing to make an effort to learn, I do it every day. I go out of my way on a daily basis to help less saavy computer users learn the tips and tricks of the trade when it comes to technology.
The fact of the matter remains however, that more effort went into typing several posts here ranting about how bad a Windows operating system is , even though several of the problems were totally unrelated to Windows, when less effort would have easily provided an answer via a simple internet search.
I completely understand getting frustrated with computers, software, servers, etc. as I too get frustrated with them sometimes. I can also promise you that the knowledge that I have gained in the IT field was learned via many hours of studying and researching and was not something that I was just 'gifted'.
Your are correct that knowledge is not always common but most of the time it is easily available to anyone with access to the internet and the will to learn.
