Like some if not all, I have very eclectic taste in music. It ranges from Surf music, to Classical with some Country and Jazz thrown in for good measure. One of the ”newer” bands I like is Yo La Tengo as well as River Runs North. I have several playlists on Napster with each having around 700 songs. Being a guitarist, I tend to gravitate to guitar oriented songs. Here’s a couple of links to songs I enjoy listening to while building. The last link is cool and funny, especially if you’re a Gerry Anderson fan.

Good stuff Timmy.

They did very well on this one. Music sounds awesome, and it was really cool to hear them play stuff that they never did live before.

And I think Gowen does an abmirable job singing DDY's stuff.

The music in my ears right now are impact drivers as they are working on my front and rear deck's (on the house). There is also the occasional circular saw, table saw, radial arm saw, etc. as well. That is all the sound (music) I can injest at the moment....

FM braodcast radio is on in the build room. I'm lucky enough to live in an area that receives 3 college radio stations, a community radio station, and 1 local LPB. Also, a scanner and CB radio are set up and sometimes turned on as well.

Actually, a live Mariachi right now. And eating from a taco truck.

I'm at an event making my feelings known about a certain ex-sheriff. But that's another topic.

When I'm building I usually have the TV on the Sci, Discovery, Travel channels etc., but listen more than watch. I mute during the comercials because they drive me crazy.

I seem to be a little diffrent music wise. I like a very wide range from clasical to soundtracks to Prog. I do not like Pop, Rap and sorry, I really don't care for Country or Jazz. I grew up a metal head with a little clasical thrown in Huh?

Right now I'm listing to my Pandora channel that has groups like.

Laquna Coil, Edenbridge, Evanescence, Within Temptation, Krypteria, The Gathering, Antimatter, Octavia Sperati, and some 80's stuff like Depeche Mode, Talk Talk etc. (to keep things intresting) just to name a very very few. Mostly Europian Prog bands though.

I’m listening to a Miles Davis’s album called “We Want Miles” on YouTube.  When I’m in the mood, I like Jazz from the 1960’s “Blue Note” era. Lee Morgan, Freddie Hubbard, Nat Adderly (Brother of “Cannonball“ Adderly) etc.  All trumpet players.  lol!  I wonder Why?  But my favorite “Blue Note“ era band is Art Blakley and the Jazz Mesengers.  Almost every jazz player has been a part of his band including myself.  It’s a jazz institution if you will.  Another jazz artist I like and inspires me is Rasand Roland Kirk!  Check him out on YouTube!

I also listen to Led Zepplin, Boston, Yes etc.  But my all time favorite thing to do is listening and watching a music video called “The Song Remians the Same”. It’s a music video of Led Zepplin.  One of my favorite “Rock and Roll” artist of all time is Jimmy Hendricks!

I really enjoy listening to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart!  Especially watching the movie “Amadeus”.

After that, I love music!  Any kind of MUSIC!  lol!

This is a great thread.  I really enjoy reading and writing on this thread.  Everyone’s contribution is fantastic and it tells you what kind of person he/she is.

One of my fave good times listening to music, Willy, Chris, Waylon and Johnny, the Highway Men. Country music doesn't come to the forefront in my stash, but this DVD is just some great friends, having the most fun possible without going to jail.

Supremely talented musicians in the band as well, the lead guitarist is amazing.

tempestjohnny Like Eagle I'm an 80's metalhead. When I'm in my work van i listen to the local classic rock station. Nothing like a little classic Zeppelin to help get through the day.         Oh yeah, when I'm on the road at work....Scorpions, Ac/Dc, Quiet Riot, Judas Priest, Motley Crue, Def Lepard, Kiss....you get the point.  LOL!  My daughter doesn't like it much...my 7 yo son...he likes to head bang.  LOL!           Big thumbs up to all those, but my top three are (in no order), Black Sabbath, Old Aerosmith, and Led Zeppelin.

Yes, yes, and yes. and thats coming from a modeler who is still in Highschool. nothing (to me) these days sounds quite as good as a good Def Leppard or Bon Jovi song, but thats me.

Listen to blues on my Sonos in the work room.

Listen to blues, rock, Texas stompin' music when I'm out in my Tony's.

Lot of good bar music here in rural CA.

Heard a good band last week out of San Antonio- "The Last Bandaleros".

Good blues is good stuff.

Now playing on the college radio jazz station, “nothing but the blues” show... great stuff. Takes the rough edge off of my shift at work.

https://www.kkjz.org/mobile/

They had a great breakdown of Ray Charles “do the mess around” on my way in to work.

Mind you I love most all sorts of music. I will listen to most anything from classical to punk. But it’s a shame on what radio is for the most part today.

GM, it’s hard to beat a bar with a live band playing music that you enjoy.
