I've really got to stop buying these things, just too tempting though.

Mike, if you have a spare windshield it'd be great, my canopy is fine, I just split the windshield right down the middle.

Bandha, what goodies do you have for your G10????
I wanna know if there is anything I DONT have for this kitSmile [:)]Wink [;)]Tongue [:P]

How many Aussies are there now?

Also how can I put in the Aussie flag in my sig? (I tried edit profile and it's not letting me.) Is there a minimum post requirement before it will?

What about Avatar's?

Its very nice. Only problem is the driver must have had a really long neck to see through the windscreen!! There is quite a lot of small stuff around in kit form that is quite well done.

There's a stack of after market stuff for the U Boat too, if you wanted to do a cutaway model, such as fully detailed control room and torpedo room among others. I think you can find them on Hannants website

Talking small scale. Here is a tiny little Academy Willys Jeep.

Pics had to be "tweaked" as they were taken early evening and really needed better ambient light. Still here they are. Remember this little jeep is around 50mm (2") long.

Kit went together really well and I will certainly build another one!

I used Aeromaster and Valllejo paints. Overall olive orab followed by dry brushing with faded olive drab.

Hope you like it!

cheers

Carl i know the series your talking about and you're right the commentary is totally crappy..........The History channel has turned into the most watched Foxtel channel in this houseTongue [:P]Big Smile [:D]Not only for war documentary's but a whole heap of intersting stuff, i watched one last night about the true identity of Jack the Ripper.........

I just found this History Channel shop which has loads of DVDs on aircraft, tanks, ships, battles etc. Some are a bit pricey as they're just one 50' show, but some rare footage can be found. Go down to the 'Wars & Warfare' or 'History' sections.
http://store.aetv.com/html/allsubjects/index.jhtml?location=subject

Some have been aired so for those without Foxtel I can recommend some of them if you let me know which ones. (eg the A-10, P-47, Lancaster, Hellcat ones are excellent. The Cobra & Apache chopper docos are also very good.)

There's a current series on called 'Air Combat' which has some outstanding footage which isn't listed for some reason. The commentary is appalling, the usual US myopic revisionism, but some terrific footage. (Some New Guinea & African stuff featuring diggers with slouch hats but no mention of Aus involvement.)

Well, seeing we're on 1/72 P51's in progress...
This is still a bit rough & I can't finish the canopy, broken wheel & weathering until I get this arm out of the sling. I madly rushed things before my surgery to try & finish it & ended up breaking the windshield & mucking up some others.
