Mike, the mustang looks good, a take the bronze tint is a result of the lighting on the aircraft when the photo was taken.

G'day guys heres a few progress pics on the mustang P51D, I figured out the problem with the decals on the last effort , I think it was impatents that got the better of me on that one , this time I let the pledge dry for 40+hrs before putting the decals on , they are the decals that came out of the box ..I'll use the other one that I ordered from Red Roo on another project..I wasn't going to let this one beat me .

Thanks for the info Carl, I also didn't know that frontline where stocking badger parts as when I was based at Williamtown that didn't carry any badger items apart from the cheap external mix airbrush.

Thanks for the sympathy guys. I did get so bored I figured out a way to do a bit of work on the Mirage with the right arm in a sling. It's amazing how innovative you can get when you have to.

I ordered my airbrush from Bear Air. The courier fees are a bit silly but it still works out considerably better than the local rip-off merchants, I shudder to think what margin they're working on. I also include a few goodies in the box that you can't get locally & BA are good to deal with. They hit me for about US$50+ for UPS (including a hose, a couple of quick-connects, some paints, cleaners, etc) but 'YouCanShopSecure', who have the best Badger prices, came up with > US$170 Shock [:O]

just for shipping one airbrush via UPS!!!

The Peak brush looks nice but it's a Bear Air special so I passed on that, at least you can get Badger bits from Front Line & others.

Every time i drive whether it's on the bike or in a car i seem to be on a contsant alert status just waiting for the next wanker to do something idiotic Angry [:(!]

I'll make sure i post pics when i do something to the U-boat i mean i gotta show someone right, the missus doesn't give s- -t Laugh [(-D]

Thats what i like about this site everyone is interested in models Thumbs Up [tup]

Darren i plan on putting the U-Boat in it's own special case, the house wer'e building at the moment has a formal lounge and we have bought a lowline entertainment unit which is only about 800mm high and about 2Mt long, the plasma is going on the wall so the U-Boat will go on the unit Thumbs Up [tup]

Carl hope your arm starts working soon Big Smile [:D]

i can imagine how hard it would be to model with the use of only one arm Dead [xx(]

Jules, nice 1/72 bottle of Corona (?) you have there. The scale effect is outstanding.

While we're dumping on dickhead drivers, a week before Xmas this young jerk refused to move over in the back lane & ripped my outside mirror off. Now the catch is I was on my way to get a pink slip (rego checkup for interstaters) on the arvo prior to my shoulder surgery. So no pink slip, no rego, no car insurance as I haven't been able to drive since the surgery & all expired in the intermin. @*#!%$#*

I get out of the sling tonight (I hope) but the arm is a long way from working reasonably, so not sure when I can drive again. Hopefully I'll be able to airbrush as I just ordered a new Badger 100LG (I've been using an Aztec to date).

I'll have to agree that the time to get pissed has passed , now its moderation . but my poison is wild turkey don't like beer to much now , I'll still have a couple of beers every now an then .

Thanks everyone for the kind words on the Kamov, I have just attached the tires and twin oleo legs and she is really taking life now. Once they are set I will weather the undercarriage and get ready for flat coat!

Thanks guys I'm fine , he gave me a nice jolt . I almost hit the car in front so it was almost front and rear job . I don't know what he was doing at the time as I was watching the traffic in front , all I heard was a screeching of tyres and then smash , when he pulled over he stated that he was looking at his phone . Idiot.. Evil [}:)]

luck I'm insured . his car was more damaged than mine Big Smile [:D]

Must agree with the opinions being expressed in regards to mobile phones and Censored [censored]

who insists on using them whilst driving. IMO they should all be shot on sight to prevent them from breeding and poluting the gene pool.
