Thanks for the Buffalo pic JulesSmile [:)]
Ugly stumpy thing it is, but very practicalCool [8D]

As for dimensions, if I may squeeze in here, the last count I read around 4 years ago, was a theory based on 7 dimensions, of which we experience 4.
Height, Depth, Width, and Time.

As for space travel, I think there was a British corporation, united with some private investors from around the globe having an EXTREMELY close look at anti matter as a viable form of propulsion.
I have never seen or heard anything else, but something like that would be kept under tight wraps, and would cost some disgustingnly big dollars.

Ah well, back to petrol I guess.Sad [:(]

Man I wish they would get there act together over here and organise an aircraft museum thats big enough , so they can display the pby that they have packed in storage . the existing museum is on private land and the goverment is not allowed to put any money into it because of the private land issue, this is pritty poor effort . but some of the aircraft they have are great ..I've posted some pics for everyone..If only they spend as much money on the Aviation Museum as they did on the WA Maritime Museum it would be awesome ..

Thanks Darren, you folks seem a sociable crew here! Blenheim is in the top of the South Island, so its about the middle I guess. All the warbirds to-ing and fro-ing stop in at Omaka Areodrome on the edge of town to gas up, So we hear screaming merlins and see beautiful aircraft etc at the most unexpected times.

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the FSM Aussie forum Erin, glad you could join us. By the way where abouts is Blenheim, is it in the north or the south?

Also, did any of you guys notice that Eagle Strike decals have released a new decal set featuring the RAAF Green Ghost Beaufighter squadron. Here is the link if you are interested.

Another Kiwi here, lucky to be based in Blenheim, where there is a strong classic fighter group and the Govt has donated $2,000,000 towards a WW1 fighter museum to house and display the growing collection of restored and replica aircraft here. Will be worth a visit from any of you Aussies that have an interest in these things if you are over this way sometime around March or later 2005.. I have built kitsets on and of for many years. I like 24th scale fighters, but they have to fit around more essential expense's

Yeah Mike it takes alot of money to accomplish these things but the good thing is that Nasa the European Space Agency and the Russian Space Agency are all starting to work together on joint projects to ease the cost burden of these projects.......
Realisticly speaking we should know in about 20 years whether there is life out there....

yep, ion drive and such like.

I reckon in about 100 years man will be exploring the stars. It will take that long to have the economic potential as a planet to do such a thing. Exploration of the solar system first and then further afield after that

cheers

as I do. I hope that when we do contact another race, that we are ready for the profound changes of the way we think of ourselves.

I read some really heavy science not so long ago (only understanding a third of it) that we have taken our theory of how space is formed and that certain dimensions remained compressed. The theory is that we will be able to go vast distances in little time by utilising these compressed dimensions. The theory is there now, just need to invent a system that can use it!!

One day perhaps Smile [:)]

cheers

Well as you fellas already know i beleive 100% that there is life out there, Astronomers have just discovered another heap of stars that appear to have planetary discs around them using NASA's Spitzer Infared Space telescope, of the 266 nearby stars they looked at 71 were found to have a planetary disc........
BTW if you find this interesting keep an eye on the Huygens Probe, it's due to descend to the surface of Saturns moon Titan on the 14 of Jan 05, Strange things are happening in the atmospere of Titan.......

Anyway back to modelling.........Tweets i'll post up that pic of buffalo's tonight but be warned they wear British roundelsDisapprove [V]Disapprove [V]I seem to have an aversion to building Aussie A/C in British markings.......Jules.......

j.s.harrison sure is I believe there must be something out there , so I thought I might help , when ever I have the computor on I have the program running in the back ground scanning . I've only done 144 unit so far .

I've ordered some decals from aeromaster for the Royal New Zealand Air Force in 1/72 there's a few different types (F4U Corsair , P-40 Warhawk, TBM/TBF Avenger , SBD Dauntless , PBY Catalina) at $20.00 not to bad . I think I will be doing the SBD Dauntless for the anzac build ..

cheers mike

Good work on the Seti Mike.
And I reckon your right, no way we are the only one's here.

We have Seti running whenever the computer goes to screen saver, 193 units this time around.
Couple of years ago we had a dedicated one for Seti, knocked up 1000+, then it crashed big time.
Go Windows 98!!!!

Not a bad model you posted there Jules, might have a closer look at the Buffalo.
Tamiya eh.

Paul, there is a good possibility that it is, be brave and build it for the group build even if you have to put RAN decals on it, just convince yourself that the roo in the centre of roundal is a Kiwi.
