Well there you go and it's an expensive conversion set too, thanks Rob.

BTW, you wouldn't happen to work part time at Vic Hobby Centre would you? I get the distinct impression that I have met you there.

Calling S3053396,

Trev with your Bob Jane Camaro, call Frank Morgan at Vic Hobby Centre [Monday's only], he'll point you in the right direction with what you need to know about the kit and so forth.

Also can you contact me via my website, or in the next few days as I'm moving house on the 1st - 2nd of October.

Regards

Hey anyone know about a Centurian kit..............??????

Jules,

I know you can get a conversion kit from Legends Productions that turns the Tamiya Centurion into an ADF one from the Vietnam era. This is one kit that I have always wanted to do but have never really got round to it, maybe one day .

You can get Legends stuff from Firestorm Models http://members.ozemail.com.au/~firestorm1/

Here are a couple of pics of the kit

The recovery of the Mack and 8T took about an hour or so. The biggest drama was that the recovery mechanics tried to pull them out with a 5t vehicle recovery chain (twang - duck). After the chain snapped they finally decided to unhitch the trainer and use the tank recovery winch located on the front of the ARVM which is rated to 60t I beleive. Needless to say they were harrassed about it for a long time. Big Smile [:D]

Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]
Can't beleive someone would try that.
8t - 5t = chain everywhere.

Got a friend of mine here who was in the army for 11 years.
I understand the logicTongue [:P]

Jules, the MG fitted to the Leopard is the MG3. If you want to have fun with a tankie just ask them about the MG42 mounted to his tank. Smile [:)] I have also started the process to find out when exactlt the Leopard was given a cam paint job. I should have the answer next week if it's still required.

Jules, I couldn't actualy tell you when the change happened. I'm pretty sure that it was mid - late 90's as I was in Darwin from 1994 onwards and can only remember them in the cam paint job whilst they were on Robertson Bks. I may be wrong though and someone else may be able to put a more correct date on it. The photos were taken in 2000 at High Range Training area north of Townsville.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

I hope it goes well for ya Mike.

This weekend I'm laying down some base coat onto the Sabre.
Was gonna do it during the week, but work got in the way, and my lil' man had his 1st birthday on Thursday, so had to prioritise that one.
Thursday-Work
Volleyball
Sons B'day

He goes to sleep around 11 pm, so we had a riot of a time.
But now, it's model time, and the Sabres gonna cop it, while drying, gotta suss out the 109.

After this Sabre, I certainly feel a tad foolish.

Actually, I'm leaning towards thinking it wouldn't have been such a problem if I had used the Hasegawa donor kit.

Will find out on the next one I do.

That saying would probably be more accurate when one considers the SabreBig Smile [:D]
Iv'e already decided to ditch the Academy kit in favour of the Hasegawa kit, apparently the highplanes conversion was originally designed for the Hase kit,but i imagine it's still gonna need a lot of filler and patience......................

Let me know which Triplane version your'e planning on doing and i'll do the other,if it's OK with you i'd like to post them up after there finished in the aircraft forum Titled Little's Triplanes, maybe with a pic of Little himself and a breif rundown of his unfortunatly short career............
I for one have a soft spot for the old stringbags of WW1 and i'd like to see more not only in the Forums but also in the MagazineThumbs Up [tup]
BTW i was planning on making the Eudard 1/48 Tri but i'm in no great rush at the moment so i'll leave it up to you...............Jules.................

Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]
This is spooky, I was searching for a Tripe last night, and went and checked out the Eduard site, and decided to go with the Eduard kit.

As for the version, I'm not sure, have to do some more research.
I'll let you know when I get the kit etc, but same as most people, all in good time.
