                        OK Mike (and MMM) here's the deal, I have found some backyard snaps of my Dad's parents place from the 40s and 50s. Unfortunately there are two small big problems, one is they had an indoor dunny Sad [:(] and the second is that the photos are microscopic (approx 5cm x 3cm), however if you want a scan of them you are more than welcome. Sorry it's pretty lame but it's the best I can find.

                        I'm visiting Townsville at the moment and lucked onto the local Toys'R'Us 50% off sale. I managed to buy the 1/32 Trumpeter F-105 for $70 and a Classic Airframes Rag wing Hurricane for $25 amongst others! Party [party] Now I just have to get them back home to Wodonga.

                        Aussie modeller International is running two modelling competitions soon, one for christmas and one for ANZAC day. There wil be more info released shortly on them. Anyone can enter (in Australia that is) and on any topic as long as it's Australian. We have also had a complete overhaul of the site to make it more 'dial up' friendly, this will be uploaded on the 16th of October so check it out.

                        Sorry Mick but you've got me stumped on that one, I can't find any interior shots at all nor any mentions of mods. I know that the Australia Aviation Museum has an ex RAN UH-1B up at HMAS Albatross but that's about it.

                        death I actually work at HMAS Albatross, so I might be able to get to the museum after work one day and take some pix for you. I can't remember if they have it on display or not. I'll go have a look one day.

                        Anyone else want some pics of any of the aircraft while I'm there? Might as well make the most of the visit.

                        Some museums have no sense of humour Big Smile [:D]

                        I have started to put some Australian specific walkarounds on the Aussiemodeller website. So far I have a few AFV's (arvm and a few trucks) as well as a Bell 47G and a Wirraway. If anyone has some Australian specific photos of Aircraft, AFV's or even ships, I will happily put them on the site for you. I have waiting to go on the site other walkarounds of a P-39, Bren Gun carrier with 2 pdr, ASLAV recovery vehicle and numerous other vehicles.

                        It would seem they have changed the museum at Nowra since I was there last!Everything used to be at floor level with steps for people to look in.Not only was this handy for modellers but for kids to stoke their fascination with aircraft and hopefully start them on a career in the ADF.I think they have let themselves down,cutting a direct link to the public like that.My 2 cents [2c]
                        On a happier note,thanks heaps for that Daniel,I look forward to seeing them and picking up where I left off with the kit!

                        I'm currently building an Ozmods A4 Caribou in 1/144th scale. It's going to be an all Dark Green version, A4-159 of 35 Sqn. in the late 1970's

                        Does anyone know a the correct Dark Green to use?

It's probably too late now, but thought you might like to know just the same - the Army is seriously considering keeping the M1's in desert scheme when they get here. My brother-in-law, who is ex armoured corps, told me recently. I almost did an Abrams myself in OzCam until he told me. I think I'll wait now to be certain.
