Don, that staggerwing is beautiful. Up til about 5/6 years ago, we had one just like it at my local airport, beautiful plane to watch!

Major Tushio Sakagawa 25th Sentai Hankow ,China 1944 . From what I've read the Japanese did'nt officially keep scores of aerial victories but they say this pilot racked up 40 confirmed victories

The Raiden was modelled after Lt Yoshihiro Aoki 352 grp Kanoya Air Base 1945

The reference pic I had of the Ki-84 Frank identified it as being painted pale grey and being flown with HQ Chutai 29th Sentai on Taiwan(Formosa) summer of 1945

The Ki-61 Tony was out of the box decals and it was all in Japanese so I do'nt know the info on the markings

The Ki-100 same basic airframe as the Tony but of course with the radial powerplant. Again the unit info was in Japanese so solly no translator

N1k1-J Shiden Kai,found it fascinating that this aircraft developed from a mid-wing centerline float plane. This one was flown by Lt Takashi Oshibuchi,some debate on the stripe color on the fuse I've seen it in white as the same aircraft?

Ki44 Tojo not sure if its true but from what I've read not a single copy of this airframe survives today. One source accounts that on 19 february,1945 a small group of these attacked 120 B-29's downing 10, 2 reportedly by ramming.

Trey...fermis...WOW. The way you both match output to quality boggles the mind. Two days into my P-47s and I haven't glued or painted a single piece. You all would have the cockpits done, at least.

I must say, I am truly addicted to this stuff! Finished more this year, than in the previous 5 combined(31) (21 of them from last year, and 9 the prior year). Saved me from a bad road!

I only work 6 months of the year, and really bust my *** so we can get through the 6 I have off. Think I only finished 4-5 in those working 6 months.....I love rain days!!! Life is AWESOME!!!

Anyway, to answer the question of what made it off my bench...

A LOT of WIPS...  All are awaiting the diorama bases..

But there were some of these too..

Since I only build dioramas, the process is quite slow...  But the Ju87 is almost finished, but I'm still building figures for it, as well as a number of them for a Spitfire, Tigercat, B-29, and also some dios in the Armor category are shaping up finally, after three years of waiting for the stories to form..

Problem is, I tend to get bogged-down in details, and am suffering from an accute case of AMS... 

BUT... I have  a Plan... P-A-L-N...

Come Monday AM, I'm sweeping off the bench, one giant toss, and starting FRESH with ONE kit, ONE diorama planned, and will do nothing that will make me stray from my original PLAN, and work from Dusk  'till Dawn, seven days a week, until it is DONE...

The "Star" of the diorama is a Monogram 1/35th M48A2 Patton from Bravo/1-69th Armor Regiment (Tank B1-6, IIRC), at a firebase near the Laos/South Vietnam border, 3 March, 1969, which is providing fire-support for a Special Forces/Montagnard Camp just moments after a North Vietnamese PT-76 hits a mine about 1500 meters outside the wire..

Taking a bit of artisic license with this one, since the battle was at night (AAR was two PT-76s and one BTR-50 destroyed), and they were up against the NVA 202 Armored Regiment, but I'll be showing this one in daylight, rather than put it in a shadow-box... I've built a lot detail into the tank that I don't wnat hidden from view.
