Some people like to bloviate, then whine and cry for ages if someone dares to criticize them. For they are the anointed, stepped down off the cross to help us little ones see the error of Our ways. Welcome to the Internet.

I just follow Toshi for my reviews. He is nice, has cool stories, and is a very fast builder of quality models.  Never a dull moment.

Forgot to mention-- it's free.

Moff,

Toshi is not a master builder, he is a Grand Master Builder, and you can find him right here on FSM!

My opinion or advice is no more valuable or honest than any other person's comments. No information I post here wouldn't be provided by someone else. As a matter of fact, guys like Mike D. here probably have better, more accurate information or opinions that are more valuable than anything I would post. I normally remove the post after I've seen that the intended person has acknowleded it or after the discussion has run its course. No loss to the communtiy at all; the person gets his question answered or information provided and those offended by my substandard posts don't have to put up with them for long before they are removed.

IMHO, I don't think you give yourself enough credit, Rob. I feel you are an invaluable source for information on modern AFV's. I can understand, but, It's too bad that that you feel that way. I for one have learned a lot from your posts. I'll just have to make sure I catch them before you delete.

What's the point of posting then deleting it? Might as well not post anything at all. It makes no sense. Leave your post for others to see and learn.

Rob, i have seen you make this coment before and i am afraid i have to respond and give you an honest view. I do think you are slightly over reacting about all this, and it is a real shame you decide to remove your posts and even a bigger shame you won't give people honest advice which many long for just because of the odd comment, which i must say i have seen very little here.

Just had to put in my 2 cents

Well, i have to disagree. We all have our own experiances that are unique to us. Your own personal experiance are a perfect example. Sure, plenty of people may have book knowledge, but we all know thats not the same as hands on. And yes, others may have had first hand experiance, but theirs will be differant from yours.

Ok, the person you are responding to gets there answer, but the ones to come in the future will be the ones who lose out.

At the end of the day, its all your choice, but i think it is a loss to the community and a thumbs up to the idiots.

But, at least these posts of yours survive in our quotes, sorry mate, but bugger all you can do about that Wink

Personally Rob, I'd love to read your posts. The haters can go fly a kite. Letting them bother you is want they want. I strongly urge you to leave your posts up, because I really would love to read them.

Hello Rob!

I know you've had your share of problems with stupid people here on the FSM forums, but I also find it a big loss to the community, that you are deleting your posts. At first I couldn't understand it at all, now it's a little bit easier, but still it's a pity.

I'd also like to use this opportunity to thank you for your great help with building my armor models, especially the CEV - I'm still working on it, by the way. For example you supplied me with the details on how the driver's hatch operates - before you did I really had a problem to find that info on the 'net. So thanks again for sharing and have a nice day

Deleting your posts gives the trolls the upper hand because they got you where they want you. Don't delete your posts to give the trolls the satisfaction.

He's gone and done it again. Why even bother posting anymore? You might as well not contribute to the site and just leave. Just saying...

I don't know if you realize it or not, but any valuable or invaluable advice you posted do come in handy for others. But continuation of posting and deleting them is depriving others of your input. Sad really.....

This thread popped up in my "Forums" list but I did not open and read the links.  I just don't think the following words should never be associated with fine scale modeling:

Naked = BuildReview = Youtube

These words associated together could create a metal picture that would require years of therapy to fix. A Google search also results in a call from the IT manager and a closed door talk in the HR office.

On a more serious note, childish, immature, playground name calling also has no place in our hobby, even if we spend hours playing with model airplanes, cars, ships, and anatomically correct female fantasy figures, we can all act like adults and respect each an everyone's talents, intersts, and point of view.
