Hot off the presses is the AMP (Mikro Mir) Silbervogel "antipodal bomber":

It's so hot off the presses that the plane on the boxart is still glowing.  Stick out tongue  The kit itself is typical low pressure, limited run injection molded plastic.  I'll post up more pics on a separate thread.

Oh wow I'm getting behind on following all the cool stuff!!!

Love Two Bob's and Archers decals! (Though I guess technically the Archer stuff is 'dry transfers' instead of decals).

Love the Lotus Pat!

And love the Harpy and Silbervogel Real G!

And RCguy, love the KV-I. Or I think it was, I don't see your photos now.

I did buy this. No new kits but I am willing to buy stuff like paint. And I've been having big issues with gloss paint. There was a discussion on the paint forum about Gravity Colours from Spain so I gave them a try. I liked what I saw so I ordered some more, this is both orders.

So far I've used the Mountain Laurel pink on a Cadillac and it crazed both the Tamiya primer and the plastic underneath it. Then I tried the 'Rally Green' over Duplicolor primer for real cars and the 'Torch Red' and 'Black Rose' (which is more a violet) over their own primer. And it worked perfectly, only a little orange peel. So probably it's not a good idea to use the stuff over Tamiya primer. Or something, I'm still not sure what happened.

I'm a Pontiac/GM guy so that's mostly what I ordered:

And a few generic colours. Plus I have a Lamborghini kit. And I want to do a violet and pink (two cars not both on the same car!) Mopar one day:

And primer and the gloss coat. The primer I used last week and was very happy with how it sprayed. The gloss is three parts you have to mix, the gloss, a retarder, and a activator. Not sure how well it will work, I'll just have to cross my fingers:

I need to give these a try. I would like the Blue to Vilot for my GT. It sounds like you need to keep with their products for primer, base and top coat for a good finish.

I have a couple Gravity paints as well but haven't used them.  And do not buy from the US guy - rip off artist.  Zero Paints also do color matched stuff.  I have one bottle in jaegermeister porche orange.

Thanks,

John

Steve: I'm not sure what happened. Tamiya is my default go to primer. Maybe it wasn't totally cured. Or maybe they are chemically incompatable. I dunno.

But the Duplicolor primer from the auto parts store worked fine. And their own primer worked like a charm. So probably something like Krylon would work too. But it might be a good idea to test on a paint mule first.

I bought the blue to violet stuff simply because it looks interesting. No idea what I'm going to use it on. You do have to apply the stuff over a gloss black coat. So you need the gloss black and the dark primer if you want to use it the way Gravity suggests.

John: Yeah I read down on the paint forum not to use the U.S. guy. I did look at his website and he was attacking the Spainish company, which didn't look good to me. If you have a good product you don't run down other people to make yourself look better.

Delivered today via ebay UK, it includes a decal sheet with 5 alternate sets of Milk/Ice Cream/Pop/Keep on Triking or Veloci 'T' decals.

How to choose the right set of decals?

The box art is really cool.

Thats what initially attracted me to these kits as I typically build armour.

Ah those box scale planes. They sure do have a unique appeal, all different scales, but they end up around the same size when built.

Well, this came in the mail yesterday. I’m going to use one of the side handles on my current Harrier project, but I’m making the face curtain rings from wire.

The rest can be used on any number of future projects...

Nice.

I've been eyeing that one for quite a while.

But it's $100 up here in Canada

Thats a good price, its anywhere between £70 and £90 in Europe. The WnW kits were not cheap for good reason.

Yes, this was a WnW mold that Meng picked up after WnW shut down.  I got this one for $56 USD (plus nearly $20 to ship, grrrr) from Kitlinx.com.

Aggie, it's good to see the Wignuts' "last hurrah" made it out for release, even if it was under another company's label. Very nice score!

That's a good looking McLaren John. I'm sure that you'll enjoy building it.

These arrived in the mail. They will come in handy on my current Harrier project and many other 1/48 jet projects in the future.

An all time great livery.  One of my favorite F1 cars.  This thing is a stunner.
