So much neat stuff on this page...this one really caught my eye.
Nice hauls, guys.
I just recieved this, my first order from ModelRoundup.com;
Not sure I'll ever build it but have wanted one for a long time. ModelRoundup did a great job all around, really impressed with them.
Looks great Greg, can see my dad roaring with laughter; thanks for the memory.

My pleasure. And I'm with you....
My dad wasn't much of a TV person, but he got a huge kick out of the Hillbillies, particularly many of Jed's comments. As do I today.
You are so right, memories of our father's cracking up watching the show are priceless. So thank you for reminding me of that.
This is regarding my recent purchase of a Revell '65 Shelby Cobra.
I used to think that I understood the meaning of the word "new" (yellow arrow). Webster defines "new" in two ways:
having recently come into existence, and: being other than the former or old.
The so called "new" model that I purchased has a 1988 date on it!! That means that it is 34 years old!!! THAT"S NOT NEW! THAT"S NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING NEW!
Your comments and questions are always welcome.

Maybe they just mean new release.
I'm going to get one first time I see one regardless, and it's your fault.
Ha! You pulled the trigger. Way to go, Greg. Now... I expect you do a WIP!
My purchases for this past week.
I haven't been in my room for a while except to fix thing unrelated to models, but I have been having a go at some small figures on and off late in the evenings in the front room. A small box with paint and glue that don't smell like they used to is inoffensive to a number of sensitive noses. So I felt the need for these.

Hey Steve, that Clampette truck is cool. I wonder if you can find a set of figures.
And now for something completely different:
Thanks,
John
Gee!
I don't know why the Wide Fendered Cobra is so popular. The original car with the 289 was a Blast too. The original is hard to find. Looks better to these old eyes, than the Bloated version. Now, before you all go off on me, remember it's a matter of taste. In it's own way for pure bone shaking preformance the Wide fendered one allows you to use the Meats needed to keep this monster on the road! Good enough for Me!
The old Beverly HillBilly's truck, With Granny on top. Whatta way to go! I believe one of the funniest shows on the old tube! Now the vehicle. Ya'll know that it's been said That truck is a modified Oldsmobile? That would make a nice Auto Conversion then. No one makes the OLDs Car! Oh, the places it's been according to Granny do exist. There's a "Bugtussle" and a "Butcher's Holler"
Sorry!
That's marketing for you! They figured it's new to this Generation probably! Someone should've thought about removing that bit of 'OLD " evidence. Still can be a fun kit though. I do, Although don't really care for the body mods have two of them.
Hey Keavdog!
That weren't no Nerf Gun fer sure! Although Armorers cursed the thing up and down, it did it's job. A bugger to maintain and the early ones were prone to jamming! New or Older model as far as the Gun is concerned, a fascinating Model, Good Choice!
Hi!
Yes, You will love those paints. Although NOT a Gamer, I went to the local Gamer's shop to look for Maschinenkreiger figures, Figured, no loss, they're close by in town. My local hobby shop wasn't carrying them. Not only got The Melosin and the partner rig I also got those paints. Surprise! I also picked the "Warhammer, "Age of Sigmar" Figures. Because of the Punk looking floating hardware in the kit! Smaller in scale than I am used to. But with the figures I have definitely, In my eyes, taken all those figure painting tutorials to heart! Enjoy! T.B. What tickles me about the paints? The really odd names for the colors! Some of the sets wouldn't get picked up by the average modeler. I mean c'mon "Dragon's Drool"? "Gut-Yellow/Green?"And "Old Blood", Where on a Tank, Ship, or Aircraft would you use them?
This one looks fun!
Huge fun - enjoy
Hey TB, I used an odd color reddish/orange for a partial deck of a modern Russian ship mounted missle system....it has wierd name and was from the Citidal line of figure acrylics. Looked the part well enough.
we're modelers it's what we do
That color group I mentioned,I believe was, from the Citadel Line!
keavdog This one looks fun!

BK you sir appear to have a condition LOL.
Tanker, I have taken serious looks at the war game colors. They have so much more selection than the "military lines" of other product lines. While I have yet to buy more than that one bottle, this thread will move me into more options.
Bakster Ha! You pulled the trigger. Way to go, Greg. Now... I expect you do a WIP!
You remembered. If I ever decide to build it, a WIP is a good idea, Steve.
Been watching this one for a few years now. Really wanted it, but the prices were just too much. So after watching it hover around $50-60+ it finally dropped to $37 and I snagged it up from Hobbylink. Love the look of this car.
Hey, Armornut!
I have taken to using those weird colors as very bland washes on fugures with good results. Here's two more. Roman Sweat and Sigmar's Tobacco Plug. Sweat is and orangy clear and It may not be available anymore!(picked it up at a train Show) The Tobacco is a Poop brown/red!

Nice BK. I've got that one in the stash as well. I ordered these wider rears

And both Zero & Gravity make the orange paint.
WooHoo! And the hits keep on rolling in. Great additions lately folks.
Greg: That Beverly Hillbillys rig is a major score. I love it. I really hope you build this soon as a WIP as I would absolutely enjoy that journey. P.S. It's just good to see you buy a new kit.
Gamera: Whoa! What an amazing haul you got yourslf. The Time Capsule is indeed very cool. I can't say as I recall having seen one before. I'm also really liking the SB2C Helldiver. Choice kit and subject. Well done my friend.
PFJN2: That Aoshima Crown is neat kit. Very unique indeed.
Keavdog: Good to see you hard at it. Did you just move to AZ? Good to see you got your new Tamiya P-38J. The cockpit, Gatling Gun and Grumman Goose are all very impressive additions. You're in the bonus!
BrandonK: Excellent patience on scoring the Porsche. I've always admired those as well. Just plain sharp looking.
Knox: Nicely done. I've got that new Eduard Wildcat in my sights as well.
Est.1961: Nice paint sets. hopefully you can back to using them soon.
Only new addition I've made is another 1/48 armor. Bought on FB group. Also came with PE grill set.

I thought that was why were all here. Maybe I've been reading this all wrong. LOL
Joe Rix, nice Panther. I've been adding some of those 1/48 to the colletion too. The prices are much easier on the wallet.
Finally managed to pic up one of these bad boys. Good grief folks want big money for this kit. $60-100 for these all day long. NOPE. Found this one on buy it now for $25. SOLD!!
BK, nothing not to like about that Lil Red Truck.
Good find at $25.
BK, great find! The Lil Red Truck has been one of my favorite all time vehicles. I remember seeing a real one when I was a teenager. Good luck with the build.

Years ago, one of my work friends had a real Little Red Truck. He modified it by replacing the still good original engine with a highly modified 440, a Dana posi rearend, and a B&M shift kit. Wheels, tires and brakes were also modified.
I also remember the truck was F-A-S-T and always immaculate.
I look forward to your build.
