Nice score from Sprue Bros. Dwayne. Yeah, I couldn't resist either and my Panther G should arrive tomorrow Big Smile. Been wanting to add a quality Panther for quite some time and was happy to take advantage of such a good deal. Good to hear that you have a supportive wife such as I do.

In the meantime I had these masks arrive yesterday. I ordered them from DN Models in Hungary. They got here in 2 weeks so, not bad. When the time comes to build these kits I'm hoping these make my efforts much easier. Especially on the Viggen splinter pattern. Always wanted to do it. Never wanted to mask it.Indifferent

Couldn't resist the Sprue Brothers half off sale, so these arrived in the mail today...

Going to be a bit before I tackle them.  Going to do more armor in my stash first.

Also got these tweezers from Megahobby for about $11.

Nice set.

Finally, I got a quick connect and holder for my airbrushes.  Comes with a regulator holder, so with the addition of a whip hose from Lowes, I now can adjust the air pressure easily.

Pretty happy with all of the purchases.  Told the Mrs. about the sale, and she said "fo for it".  Didn't have to hear that twice.

Happy model building!

Dwayne

Nice Haul!! Xmas came early, Dwayne! Like the Marder...it's on my wish list....

That Revell Stuka was the last kit I picked up before the Mrs. decided my stash was big enough lol. I'm looking forward to building that one, but it has the same markings as my Lindberg. I might have to get some AM decals for it. :P

That Revell Stuka was one of my first builds as a tyke. Been waiting for them to re-issue it for 5 years. Finally bought a Hase "tankbuster" and 3 months later....Meh? I'm going to go with a "modified" "Where Eagles Dare" winter camo scheme.

Just got the Hurricane and paints from my LHS and the two Revells from DrugMart.  Kind of bothered VJ didn't send the exact paints as listed. Needed aluminum. Such is life. Here's hoping the two Revells can get me "made" into the Monogram Mafia. I have sworn revenge against the Barzinis', Tattaglias', and Moe Greene.

Nice group of kits.  Looking forward to seeing these builds.  I would be pretty irritated if I bought a paint set and didn't get what I was expecting.  Fortunately, replacing the missing paints won't cost a fortune, but still, gotta wait for them, and pay more shipping.

It's my 3rd set of VJ Model Air...No problem with the first 2. I like the paints and are a good bargain in "Bulk". Greens and Browns you can mix ...can't "mix" together an aluminum. Still got my old MM tho!

I received the Val today. I realize there are issues with the canopy but I'm really excited about it.

I'm sure you will do a great job, and will fix the canopy issue.  Looking forward to seeing this build.!

Buying in bulk. Nice. What model air set is that?

It's the WWII USAAF set. A few listed colors are missing replaced with Satin Varnish and two bottles of decal stuff. I had no problem with the other two sets I ordered. after the weathering set I want, I'll just order single bottles anyway.

Well those two are classic original Monogram molds. So yes, they will qualify you if you do as required with them. Wink

Looking forward to it, Don Stik.

Tempest Johnny! I see that Revell Me 109-G10 in your stash. The glass and landing gear legs are horrible. Best to replace those or make other arrangements for them lol.

Unless you are already aware of those issues. Then kindly disregard lol.

Griffin,

I have the late 60's Italaerei M16/40 (that's how the company is spelled on the box). I'll bet yours is better.

I read the reviews on Scalemates and it got medium reviews. It does have a few PE parts and a turned barrel, plus the figures. It was $22.11 with free shipping. Italaerei eh? That's interesting. I wonder when they changed it?

I 've done the M16/40 and it's a nice little model. Got pics somewhere. I paid around $22 and got it shipped from Japan. They said it might take 2 months...got it in 10 days.I believe I paid around 25$ with Prime. Was mad for awhile when I didn't get PE and Barrel when I looked in the box...They're taped to the top of the box! They changed the spelling in the early 70s to make it easier  topronounce and attract a wider base. I have a Samoniviente from the 60s with that Italaerei spelling.

The Italeri vinyl tracks are better detailed than the Tamiya vinyl tracks. They are just so stiff... If Italeri would repop their older 1/35 armor kits with link and length tracks...

Tamiya have re-boxed some Italeri kits, the Pz werfer 42 has link and length tracks.

Yeah, Stick, I've pulled it out of the stash many times, looked it over and almost started it. I doesn't look too bad except for the tracks like you said. I'll have to start it some time soon.

Nah, I've built both. Comparing the originals, the Italeri kit has more and finer details. All the Italeri kit needs is better tracks. Now the repop of the Tamiya kit has some new parts including link and length tracks and new figures. but overall of the two base kits, Italeri has more finesse in the molding.

Look what arrived from Japan today. Both kits combined $28 with free shipping!! It took 2 weeks only. That's at least $15 to $20 cheaper than the States not to mention shipping. The Japanese stores on Amazon are great.

Thanks GH. I am doing a very early one, and from what i know they just carried torpedo's internally. Don't plan on going to over board, i think the PE set i have on order just deals with the pit. Just going to relax and enjoy this one.
