Well, the three I bought for myself first. Only the second Panzer III I've ever built. I figured it was time to pick up another:

And I had to pick up the Shiden after it starred in a recent movie:

And a cool 3D printed figure of Willy Wonka. Sorry the box is just a pile of pieces so I grabbed a photo of the completed figure online. With the wild colours of his suit this one is going to be fun to paint!

And as for gifts. One of the guys in our club was cleaning out his stash and donated this to me. Very cool older kit. It's covered with so many rivets it looks like me at 8 years old with chicken pox...

And from our IPMS Christmas party this is well... WOW!!! I feel like the Cratchets when Scrooge sends them the goose as big as Tiny Tim. Thank you Rocky!!! You blew me away there.

And though not modeling related I took avantage of a couple of Black Friday sales to pick up a bunch of Blu-Ray boxed sets:

John,

Congratulations on such a haul!  Wanting that Artemis model myself.  Smile

Gamera,

Nice selection!  Love the Shiden!  And especially that complete Babylon 5 box set!

Nothing under the tree for me this year, unfortunately.  Sad

I'm sorry to hear that Gary.

I'm happy now that I did order the B5 boxed set. I keep hearing about business problems with Warner Brothers. If you want one it might be a good idea to pick it up soon in case they should go belly up...

Another delivery, this one that I got for myself:

I know nothing of this manufacturer, but the scalemates site listing for this kit looked pretty good, and I do love the Corsair.  Reviews claim it rivals or even bests the Tamiya kit, so there's that.  Having built two Tamiya Corsairs in this scale (48), I'll be able to judge for myself one of these days.  There are two kits in this boxing, so I'll build a -1a and a -2 (a variant I've never built).

Nice!  That one is tempting.  Nice write up here: https://www.themodellingnews.com/2023/11/preview-three-new-items-to-enhance-your.html#more

Also saw somewhere that a guy was able to convert the wing fold to extended.  My understanding as the kit comes, you build and extended wing for one and  the other has to be folded.

Thanks,

John

Oh wow those are awesome Aggieman! Love me some blue planes (USN)!

And those classic kits with the working features. I always got cement somewhere it wasn't supposed to go and cemented them solid...

And love the new Corsair, looks like an fantastic kit!

Tojo72

16 days and no one bought any new models yet, must be a record.

I'm sure people are buying things.  Me, I've bought a tablet (for my sister), a new processor, and will soon buy a new (used) video card.  Not modeling related, but it will help in my preparations.

But, if you want something model related, I picked this up a few days ago in Ollie's after-Christmas sale.  30% off.  I don't know why I did so.  Must have felt deprived of plastic...

I haven't bought much recently except those 3D printed figures.

I did get this... um... whatever it is at a club 'clear out your old deadwood kits' auction.

Looks pretty simple and as they say 'paint it however you want'. Sorry, didn't want to pull the thing out of the plastic bags and take a chance of parts disappearing.

Been a while since I posted anything, so here is some stuff I got since early December.

- This one was also from Ollie's Clearance

- Something in keeping with my Churchill AVRE

- A couple of these to keep my junk organized

- A new punch set as my old one is in bad shape

- If you get a new punch set you have to get a new hammer, right?

- You can never go wrong with more quality files

- More side cutter I got for a sweet deal

- My apologies if I posted this previously, 1/18 racing Jaguar

Much more pre-ordered or in transit.

Gamera,

I like the Weirdo kit.  Great score!

Drums,

Check Ollie's occasionally, as they have some bargains.  Also, nice tools!

The motorcycle and rider will take one day just to remove and clean-up the molding channels, but I thought it was a nice looking piece. The A-7 Corsair cockpit is for an up and coming build.

Ben: Love the Centurion AVRE and German biker! And you can never have enough tools, I need some new files etc myself.

And thanks guys. I was thinking about Freddy Flame-out at work today. I just might have to build the guy when I get some stuff off the bench. I could use a silly build to decompress a little...

Gary, the Wierd Oh kit was Gamera's, not mine. I like it too!

This is my first kit acquisition of the new year... This one came in yesterday’s delivery. Yeah it’s a snap together and pre painted, but I’ll still glue it and do some additional work… It looked pretty nice when I opened it up and examined the parts… I have a plan for this one!

F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!

U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Oops! Sorry, Stik!  I don't know why I put your name down for Gamera.  Must be old age! Sad

And that's a nice TIE fighter, Gamera!  Look forward to your plan!  Wink

Great detail on that figure Ben.

Been waiting for one of these for a while.  Rather it be a D but I'll take it.  And it was cheap ( which usually means re-release coming... )

Thanks,

John

Those look really cool guys!

SP: The TiE might be pre-painted but a few washes will make the detail pop.

Ben: Very cool figure!

John: Cool, hope the D model comes along soon with a good price.
