Nice work Mark & Scott (Mark I can't see the third model).  Those figures with the Dauntless bring back memories!

Thanks,

John

I like your Monogram Dauntless Mark.

Thanks to the motivation I get from the Group Builds, I can say that I have three more models I completed recently.

Keep on building!

Thanks, and I couldn't agree more about the new crop of 1/144 kits available.

I love the Sweet Sea Kings...I've built a handful of them...but the new-tool AFV Club versions in the same scale are even more impressive, with better and more complete detail. I've got some (they come two complete kits to the box), but I haven't started them yet: I wanted to 'clear the decks' of the last (at least for the moment) Sweet version in my 'warehouse.'

Those 144 kits are just getting beyond nice, saw a couple of Spits a while back and the pits (what you could see of them) were amazing. Lovely looking Sea King, take away the penny and you would swear it was bigger.

And i like this thread as its nice to see such a variety of subjects in one place, and often builds that you might have missed.

Well said, that man!

Sweet 1/144 Sea King in kit-supplied Marineflieger markings:

Hasegawa CF-Egg-teen, built for Gamera's 'Silly Egg' GB:

And a little 'baby boomer' nostalgia with Moebius' 'Voyage To The Bottom of the Sea' Flying sub, mini-sub and diving bell set:

Thanks John, and Pawel... you are 100% correct, thanks for fixing that. It was very late when I typed it and wasn't thinking. I corrected it in the initial response. Thanks again for letting me know.

Hello!

Lookin' good! One thing though - that baby is Swedish, not Swiss. Excuse me being picky here, but let's not cause confusion!

Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Wow Ben...meager is so humble.  Your work is really nice.  The kublewagen is really 5 models.  Figures are really well done and could stand alone as great models.

Thanks,

John

I am really impressed with the level of craftsmanship I see in this thread. The finished subjects are second to none.... Here is my meger contribution for my last three.

1/16 Kubelwagen by Tamiya: (Group Build)

The kubel was built mostly out of the box except the fuel line and transmission shifting rod. The tarp rolls were after-market resin. The kit driver was not used and a 4 figure multi-piece resin kit was purchased from the after-market, slightly modified, and detailed with other PE and lead foil straps.

1/350 HMS Roberts by Trumpter: (Group Build)

This was my first ship on over 20 years. I went all-in with the wood on the deck and boats, metal barrels, and countless PE. I gained new respect for boat builders after this one was done.

1/35 Swedish MBT103-S Tank by Trumpter. (Group Build)

The Swedish splinter camouflage scheme was painted freehand with a hairy stick. Just wanted to see if I could pull it off versus buying the masks and using the AB.

1/48 Apollo 11 "Eagle" Lunar Lander by Monogram: (Group Build)

Adding a 4th as it was being finished near the same time as the MBT-103. Other than the actual leg post and foot, all of the decent module was scratch built (kit parts were lost). In kind, much of the acent module was modified for accuracy based on many sources. The lunar surface came with the kit, but the two astronauts were also after-market (lost too). The lunar test equipment was all modified based on photos of the actual items.

As I said before, the skills shown in this thread are simply fantastic! Great job EVERYONE!

Thank you Keav. I’m slowly getting the hang of figures. I certainly don’t have them down solid yet.

Lots of great stuff!  Modelcrazy's RAF wing countering Bish's luftwaffe.  Nice armor GreySnake.  Bit a bit slow the start of this year but here's the three latest

Minicraft 1/144 EC-121 from my fathers squadron (553rd recon wing)

This is a 1/48 F4F-4 Wildcat from Tamiya.  Nice kit

This little 1/48 Tamiya F2A/B-339 Buffalo was given to me for last years secret santa exchange.  I tried alclad clear and flat for the first time and while it covered well it was tacky for days and attracted every piece of lint and cat hair - paint is a bit of a mess in that regard but here she is

Edit:  wanted to mention Tamiya panel liner didnt get along with the alclad glosscoat...hence the heavy weathering

Thanks,

John

Well here goes nothing. My skills are pretty rusty being away from the hobby so long. It also doesn’t help that I’m still trying to find the sweet spot with my newer airbrush still.

1/35 Tamiya Tiger I Early

This kit had been hanging around a few years with some missing parts. Thanks to Dragon kits having an abundance of spare parts I was able to source the extra parts from the Dragon kit. This was my second try airbrushing late war German camouflage in six years. It’s a really clean build, just not ready to try out shading and filters as of yet.

Takom 1/35 St.Chamond Early
Far from perfect but I’m happy to have it. Originally I started one of these before my hiatus and the half built model got tossed out in a move. Felt the need to finally finish one and glad I need. I went out of my comfort zone and added mud and “attempted” a wash. Learned my lesson to use a gloss coat before doing a wash as it flows much better.

Tamiya 1/35 Panzer III Ausf. L
Not much to say about this. I built one of these a few years back and sold it along with many other kits both built and still in the box to a collector to help pay from my father’s funeral. So this is the replacement that I built all those years ago. The tank commander isn’t great still pretty rusty at painting figures.

Nice work guys. Like you Bish, I forget about this thread as well. I guess because it takes a little while to knock out 3 kits.

Here are mine, or at least my last 3 best.

1/72 Airfix Blenheim Mk. IV

1/48 Tamiya Swordfish Mk. I

Hasegawa Egg F-15
