Hey Stik!

That's an AMEN There! I only had that choice because dad was always out and I had to be good. So, Models kept me out of trouble!

Castel, Frank, & Eugene, those are all some sharp looking trios for your latest builds! Kudos to all three of you for them!

TB, models and my dad, reduced the amount of trouble I tended to find as a youngster. They never really eliminated that trouble, and sometimes even inspired that trouble... Wink

As for my latest three, I tend to lose track of where my latest builds are a new trio... but apparently I did complete three more since the last ones

First up, my 1/35 Dragon M48A1 GI Blues Elvis Tank

second up, is my 1/48 Hobbycraft VNAF F8F-1B

and my most recent completion, a 1/48 Tamiya F2A-2 from VF-2

Yeah Stik!

But, my gosh, look what you learned. Those are great looking Builds! Because of situations I had to many times, refurbish Glue Bombs or survivors of Fireworks and B.Bs to have mine. learned a lot about what you could do with Typwriter paper, Revell Glue and Testors paint for sure!

Thanks Eugene. The Buffalo pleasantly surprised me by turning out better than I was expecting until the very end.

TB, yeah I sure learned all kinds of model related improvising, but not for those slated for the target/demolition ranges....

Beautiful work on all 3 Stick, love the Yorktown? diorama used with the Buffalo.

Frank, your three entries are lookers as well. Do you have an old thread round here telling how you do that killer checkerboard paint job? I would love to know your technique

Eugene, great work on a truly disparate trio! That bird of Prey brings me back!

Joe, this is the video I watched to learn how to paint a checkerboard:

https://youtu.be/40uOm06_ifQ

 .

Once you paint one checkerboard, the next one is easier, and so on.

The cutting board is very handy when doing doing a checkerboard pattern.

Cranking out the stuff Stik.  Dig that Russian gun and the finish on the F-18 is fantastic.  So is the spit - heck they're all great.
