I live up in Toronto and personally I love the winter.  On really cold nights it's great to hunker down in the basement working on a model, listening to music and enjoying a stout or other dark beer.  I enjoy walking the dog and coming back to a nice, warm house.

After enduring a long, cold winter, it makes me appreciate summer that much more.  It feels like I've earned it!

Pffftttt.... amateurs. It’s winter. What’d you expect? I live in Central New York and we dealt with everything old man winter throws at us, including below zero temperatures. I know it sucks but let’s face it... embrace the suck.

Yesterday, some communities in my area are dealing with flooding. Yes, flooding from constant rain and freezing rain. Creeks overflowing because water has no where to go. How’d you like to deal with that in the middle of winter?

Yup.  I'll stick to our cold and few days in the neg's  over flooding,snow,ice,..    it's the friggin apocalypse!

Not up to dealing with any of that! That's why i am here in Texas, 30's in the morning then warms up to mid 50's to upper 60's.

I'm away from home for a bit, and it is even cold down here in central Florida today. Going to have to change into big boy pants to go out. Crying

Must be a powerful system!

It's about the same here in western NY.  Modeling is one of the only things that helps get me through this miserable thing called winter.  If it wasn't for family and friends being here I would of left a long time ago.

Mom grew up in Duluth......Heard all kinds of horror stories.

When it hits the mid teens here I'm looking for warmer climes.

Don, are you in Minneapolis or St Paul?

I know it gets really cold there. Was stationed in Minneapolis for work in 2006.

Below zero this morning, high will be only a bit above.  Even with a space heater in the shop, I can't keep it warm enough to work there, and it will be much colder nex week.  I suspect I won't get any modeling done for at least a weekSad

Space heater is a pain- I have to turn it off to airbrush or rattlecan. But I can work for a few minutes.  I just don't have that much to do on current project that I can do in a couple of minutes.  Maybe I'll spend the next week learning a new CAD program and experimenting with my Cricut machine.
