Some questions:
- What did you use for the grass? Spices ba 'to?
- How did you do the rain streaks/marks?
- Pwede ba gamitin yung Elmer's wood filler as ground work? Tingin ko parang pwede eh. I'm just too chicken to try it... he he he

OK here she comes...

The 1/35 Academy M-36 Jackson...

Well I think I'll call her done for now. : With no appropriate figures for a diorama, I opted to put her temporarily on a simple base.

So far I can only say the following about this kit:

1.) No major fit problems except that the vinyl tracks are TOO STIFF and TOO TIGHT. If you have this kit I would suggest you go for a substitute for the tracks.

2.) The instructions have some problems but with a little bit of guesswork I think you can get around it just fine. :D

3.) There are a lot of M-10 (for the lower and upper hull only) and M-36 optional parts here. The only sad thing is that they included only 2 bags and 3 jeryy cans for the stowage. So I added some left overs from Tamiya kits.

4.) The hatches will not be at the right position when fully opened so some modifications to the hinge is necessary.

The base is made of styrofoam topped with wall putty. The wall, side walk and road were carved from plaster and the grill is from stretched sprue.

Now I am too lazy to start another project.

yup, the TV is scratchbuilt, the holes? i used a dremel drill press w/ a 1mm dia. bit at @ 3mm O.C. never counted them...just kept drilling.

impressive! grabe scratchbuilt yun platform nya? how did you do the holes?, i know i saw something like that during the exhibit placed at edge of the table, i even took a pic of it pero turned out too blurry to see the details the number of entries kinda reminded me of the parking area outside. kala mo di kami pumunta? hehehehe

but, i never saw the K5 on that platform? turn vogele pala.

my latest build its a 1/72 Hasegawa K5(E) German Railway Gun i modified the locomotive/generator and scratchbuild the "Turn Vogele". ...comments and suggestions are always welcome.

After first round of weathering here's how she looks: Sorry the pics are a bit dark. My big desk lamp has been knocked out and I have to use the small one.

BTW it can also be said that "A clean tank...is a water tank". LOL.

Dwight, pareho tayo, sa ammo stowage din ako nahirapan nung gawin ko yan. Di ako kuntento sa painting and weathering ko nun, so I'm planning to strip the paint and redo it again.

BTW, regarding your question about a manual on how to keep a tank clean, "A clean tank is not a tank"..... he he he he

I was there at about 2:15 - 2:50. I was actually looking for you there but looks like you arrived just after I left. I think I saw Allan there (beside the baby carriage?) but he was talking to somebody.

Anyway now I have an idea of what I will be competing against next year. Lol.

Looking good dwight!!! What time were you there on saturday? i got there at around 3:30, so i may have missed you. I was there the whole of sunday, though... This was a great week! Lots of models to see and place imaginary bets on! The Gambier Bay was particularly stunning! Though i don't think you guys saw this one come aboard:











The company was great too! I am proud to call myself a friend to so many good people.

I can't wait for next year's national's! I've already begun planning next year's entry with the help of the great Allan Agati! (right buck?)

Back to my work bench, I was able to finish the ammo stowage on my M36 Jackson (can be seen dry fitted in the interior pics) as well as the things on the upper hull.

I will be working on the turret this evening and give me another month and I could probably finish it.

Kudos to IPMS-Philippines (BAC)! I visited the exhibits yesterday (Sunday) and was quite impressed with the entries. I almost wish I threw my hat in there (so to speak). Just a tad too many Yamatos and Enterprises. The Brittanic, Olympic and Titanic side by side was a nice touch though. Lookin forward to seeing it all again next year.

Kongratz to IPMS-Phils-BAC. I visited the display last Saturday and it was really great. Ang gaganda ng mga entries as well as yung other displays. The place was so crowded so I did not stay too long. A job well done for the organizers.

The dioramas are very good, too. Sana nakasali ako.

thank you very much. and yes, as BAC members, we are very proud to be part of the group. (even if i didn't have an entry. hehehehehe )

as a filipino, yet even prouder that mr. s. tamiya's representative graced the occassion and so did a member from ipms indonesia, putting ipms philippines BAC on the map of asia with a very loud bang.

the gambier bay still needs completion, but hopefully, after all the details be completed, i'd get to see it in its proper home.

and thanks to the men of gambier bay who sent references for the group and agreed that the BAC build has one of the better details ever.

having said all those, makes me warm all over. hehehehe. now enough. some people might say i'm boasting too much.

to the committee, congratulations!

next year.. sana makasali na. hehehehe. wag lang mag parallel schedule ng paggawa ko sa schedule ng OT sa opisina ulit. hahahaha.
