Hi Allan. Not much going now. I do have one on the bench but it's been there for a while, gathering dust. I may have been bitten by the lazy bug. Good thing it's summertime here, might just pack up the gear & hit the trail for a change.

Shrikes,

Ha! Fair game. Since CBrain and Meekai turned out to be twins... Shrikes, youre IT! Big Smile [:D] Are you sure youre just friends? Looks to me like something else. Tee hee!

Anyways, hope you like the pics. Theyre a little clearer this time. That rubber thingy Web lent us was fab! Ill tell him to keep it for future shoots.

Ive got that shot of the voting for the German contest. Ill post it in the yahoogroup sometime this week.

So whats the callsign on Peachy's tag? "Enigma" seems nice.

Alex,

Me too. My Tamiya figure is just sitting there. Or, stated otherwise, the figure project "stood down." Hehehe! Im keeping my slate clean for the Gambier Bay project.

Mdlchiw,

Saw you yesterday but wasnt able to talk to you in person. In July, hopefully.

CBrain and Meekai,

Congratulations on your second star!

hi mdlchiw,

i guess the scoops at the conformal tanks have been retrofitted to almost all F-15Es by now. my paragon update set instructions states that the intakes are only installed on F-15Es based at Lakenheath UK.

oh well, one more aftermarket part to buy since you plan to build an F-15E based at Seymour Johnson.... Blush [:I]

cheers and thanks for the info.

BigMan,

i have talked with someone in the F-15E forum about the secondary intakes and this is what he said:

QUOTE:
Mdlchiw,

AFAIK jets from FY90 (90-0233 and up) are equiped with 229 engines. They don't have these at SJ.

I can definetly say that no jet of the 4th has been upgraded with new engines. AFAIK no jet has ever been upgraded with new engines (maybe when a jet is damaged they receive new engines, Steve probably knows the answer to this).

The only operational SQN's flying with 229 engines are the 391st at MO (swapped with the 90th at AK) and the 492nd and 494th at LN.

Chief

the 4th figther wing is the one based in SJ and then someone also confirmed this.
this is the link of the forum if you want to check it out.
http://212.67.202.161/~steved/scripts/ikonboard.cgi?s=49545c2aa4038c0b5aa71e48d1a0eac0;act=ST;f=21;t=107;st=0;r=1;#entry5

i think they are right since they have been with F-15Es and that makes your paragon right too and makes the tamiya kit more accurate, only the tamiya kit mentioned that all F-15Es are equipped with PW-229 which is wrong.

also maybe the description of the update kit was wrong in stating "except for MO" which should be "except for SJ".

what do you think?

1/35 tank lang? C'mon! Build some 1/48 ACs!! Hehehe.... ok don ang braille. But I only build Braille ACs. What I don't want about braille tanks is because of their link and length tracks. Now if I just see an Italeri Sherman in 1/72.... hmm.....
