Lets see... for Lani... Shonen is single but underage. So is Fritz. Junior's with Beth and Shrikes is with Fiona. Bigman, Lipton and Jeep are tied, and Sigman is in Cebu.

Which leaves us with CBrain...

About the scratches on the chrome muffler, if the chrome finish came with the kit theres hardly a solution for that. If you sprayed on the chrome you might have to do it over again as its hard to make patch-up paint repairs on metal finishes. But if they arent noticeable, then dont bother. That bike looks too good to mess with.

Oh, and advance welcome in behalf of the IPMS BAC community! Happy to have you with us.

thanks allan, ill try to bring next meeting. first, i have to find a way to pack it and transporting it will be easy. the chrome of the muffler comes with the kit. hmmm, Maybe ill just order a new sprue from lil's, hehe, sobrang OC ba?

Nah, I'm not the type who would dig a hole in the ground and wade out the war. I'd rather be in the middle of it dodging and evading, while returning fire at the same time. Ala Max Sterling.... ehehehe

hahahahaha... well, we all have those hurdles to leap over, but hey, sometimes, they may just be that way because they don't see things the way we do... Smile [:)]

not everyone is into the hobby and we can't force it into them if they don't want to... the important thing is, we enjoy it ourselves and well, somehow, educate them regarding what the craft is all about.

cheer up! one of the reasons why the community is here... is actually to be with fellow modellers. Big Smile [:D]

Last I heard Jun, Darling went to the US to take up her Masters. That's what I heard about her.

NoelSmile [:)]

Hey! That's good news. Maybe Reggie can find out if she's still "available"... He's still single, isn't he? Big Smile [:D] How about it Reg???

smvillalon,

who's available? i have a gf already. Who's Darling? she's here in CA?

She's a very charming lady from UP Fine Arts. She used to join in the meetings of BAC but I guess she had other priorities. she's great at figures and she was the "honorary baby" of the group because she was the only girl at the time.

By the way, so what if you have a gf? Evil [}:)]

Filipino modelers, hi!

Sorry to interrupt your friendly exchanges but I'd like to ask an important favor...

I'll be assigned to your country starting this August for 6-12 months, depending on how soon we finish that future project which I'm going to lead. I'm a software engineer working for a known software company. They say I'll be staying in an appartelle called Robinson's Gallery or something like that (does Quezon City ring a bell?). Anyway, I'm an avid modeler and so I'd like to continue my hobby even while I'm there. I would need your inputs as to where I can find the Local Hobby Shops that you have. Preferably those with an extensive stock of paints, aftermarket products like photo-etched parts, modeling materials like sheet styrene, tools, books, and of course, model kits. My boss also said I'll be visiting the Alabung and Mukati areas (sorry, guys, if I spelled them wrongly -- these names are still strange to me Big Smile [:D]), so you can include the LHS's in those areas. Please provide complete addresses, phone nos., and web addresses if available. I'll just ask my Filipino friends to guide me to those places. Well, thank you very much for reading and thanks in advance for the help!

Good luck to your modeling!

Welcome to the forum, Onyan. There are many shops in the Metro. The closest to your domicile would be Lil's at the basement of the SM Megamall - Building A. The next closest would be at the EDSA Shangrila Mall at the 6th Level (I can't remember the name but it's a train shop which sells models). There's one in a place called the Greenhills Shopping Center where the Special Toys Center is. It's at the Second Floor of the Virra Mall - Sampaloc Lane. Just ask at the Hotel for directions to the place. There are more but I don't know the addresses. Let us know when you arive and have time. I'm normally at the mall on weekends and I can probable help out. Welcome again. Big Smile [:D]

Welcome to this thread onyan, glad to have you aboard. The places you mentioned are some the finest financial hub in our country. I'm Sign - Ditto [#ditto] with emjaetee regarding JMN since I'm from Visayas, I'm been ordering from them a few time and their stuff and on/after sales service is superb.

Good luck to your modeling!
Onyan

Hi Onyan! I guess everyone's backed it all up. We had lots of kits here which ranges from Tamiya, Academy, Hasegawa, DML/ Dragon, Trumpeter, Tristar, Bandai and Italeri kits. AM parts here are quite rare as so as resin figures. For paints, we have stocks of Tamiya enamels and acrylics (your best bet is Lil's Makati), Academy enamels and Gunze enamels/acrylics (STC in Filinvest mall in Alabang). Hope you enjoy the kit shopping here!

Mdlchiw,

You dont have to replace the muffler, my friend. Like I said, that bike looks to good to mess around with. There will always be something thats not right on every model we build. We are our own greatest critics. But you know, people will barely notice that. All theyll see is the amount of effort you put in that fine model you made. See you on the 11th!

Jun and Reggie,

Yes, Darling went to the US for some studies. If you do meet her, befriend her, ask her how she is. But dont ever mess with around her. Seriously. She's Frank's favorite goddaughter and a good friend.
