So who is it? From what it states, the poster is already looking for some trouble. Sad [:(]

I can see by your reactions na it's bad. Okay, as one of the newly appointed moderators of that forum, I'll try to find out who the poster is. I guess from my posts here on this board and others you can see that I mean what I say when I say it. Honestly, I haven't posted since except last night but I didn't notice it. I was sleepy na kasi. Anyway, I'm still trying to get to know the rudiments of moderating a board but rest assured - I'll get to the bottom of it. (I guess the first thing I should do is read it Smile [:)])

To Ben Borja, sigman and Jun,

Thanks for all the advice regarding Future Floor. Will go to Harrison and inquire about it. Will also inquire as to what else they can get for me. As for the club, we're still studying the idea. A couple of things have to be agreed upon before we get a green light and these are: what are the typical projects? group build or solo? how to keep expenses down (this is somewhat an expensive thing for kids)? and so on. I'd like to take up Ben's offer to meet but I'll be in Corregidor on July 18 looking for sites for our field trip. Let's set up another date, time and place. If not possible, where does IPMS BAC or the other chapter hold its regular meetings? I'll drop by and meet with you and swap ideas. I cant tell you how much I appreciate the advice I'm getting. Thanks will have to do for now.

IPMS Phils. BAC Holds its meetings every 2nd Sunday of the month unless it's specified as a special holiday where it's moved to either the 1st or 3rd Sunday of the month. Meetings are held in the UP Fine Arts Building in Diliman, QC. Meetings start at around 2:00 pm and ends until the member's wives and girlfriends start calling them home for dinner. Big Smile [:D]

...while IPMS/Manila hold its meetings on the third Sunday of every month - temporarily at the Noel Carpio's residence in QC (the UP College of Architecture is still under construction kasi, eh). We hold meetings at about 3:00 pm. onwards (we go home for the same reasons as the BAC group - that's one more thing we have in common... Wink [;)])

We are not obligating you to join or anything. Just visit the meetings of BAC, Manila, the FORT, Felix the Cat (I forgot their schedules) so you'll get to meet the guys. Manila has a regular teach-in session on techniques for the members. It's a lot of fun.

You're right there. It was Noel. I already discussed it with him and he said the remark was meant for Reggie's consumption only. Reggie was the first to make the board then Noel made his own. He was referring to the other guys who would make another like it. I'm sure he knew the BAC board was up long before ours was. The comment was not directed at BAC... that I'm sure of.

By the way, I visited the BAC site and logged in using my name and email address (I didn't want the moderators to think I was spying or something...). I even left a post for the moderators praising them for the work and explaining to them that I now know why Lani said the boards were the same.

I was surprised to find out I was banned from the site this morning. I was terribly disappointed. I would have really appreciated it if someone would email me to explain to me what I did to warrant being "banned". I do not want to go through the same experience I had last year with BAC. I do not think praising one's message board is punishable by banning, is it?

I was really under the impression the BAC board was available to all those who are in the hobby and want to interact. I am now of the impression that it is exclusive to BAC mrembers only.

I would understand if you didn't want to have "flamers" around but I really do not think my posts here at FSM, Armorama and Mechapinoy can be considered inflammatory or defammatory.

You guys will get to talk with the moderators of the BAC board. All I want to know is why.

i cannot speak on behalf of our officers but, what i do know is the BAC forum is not exclusive to BAC members only. however, the BAC officers/moderators do have the right to banned certain individuals from joining the forum.

believe me this is not the place to dicuss this issue, you among a few others knows this very well...don't pretend to be ignorrant for what you people did and still continue to do to your parent org.

its what children don't do to their parents or their comrades in arms.

i hope one our officers will contact you soon.

Ernie,

This will be my last words on the subject...

I do not know what those guys told you about me or about what Noel and I did to irritate the sensitive noses of "The powers that be" over there but that had nothing to do with what I'm doing now. I'm not even going to justify what happened then. What is past is past. The mistakes made in the past cannot be corrected by further commission of mistakes. It will just compound things.

Firstly, IPMS/BAC has not been nor ever will be the parent organization of IPMS/Manila. IPMS/Manila Philippines is a separate entity and a recognized chapter of IPMS/USA - not IPMS/BAC. The fact that Tiny, Noel, and I were former members of IPMS Philippines does not make IPMS/Manila a "daughter" organization nor are we a "chapter" of IPMS/BAC. There has never been nor will there ever be objective evidence to support this. We do have objective evidence of our chapter affiliations with IPMS/USA. For those who are interested in knowing whether what we are saying is true, please feel free to email any of the IPMS/USA or IPMS/UK officers to confirm. I have no qualms about you even asking them if they know me or Noel. I'm sure these "parent" organizations will affirm my statements.

Now Ernie, you and I have no beef with each other. I still consider you and the other guys here as well as all of the officers and members of IPMS/BAC as my friends. After all, we did share a lot of important and precious moments together. These will always be cherised by me.

It's just that I just cannot sit by and watch these kinds of misinformation or misperceptions at the very least go around such an august forum such as this. Misinformation is a very dangerous thing and it being such cannot be allowed to continue.

My information is irrefutable... I was there - physically when all these events unfurled. I was the object of the disdain and hate so unjustly delivered. I was there, man... I was there.

Let this be the end of this discussion. I hope that whoever is reading this will allow it to end here. I am sick and tired of this bickering and inuendo-casting. I am tired of all the politicking going around. We are modelers first and foremost. If we want to be other than that - fine... just do it somewhere else.

What a coincidence! I'm working on a Finemolds X-wing na 1:72 scale. Great detail, no? I'm really impressed with the durability of the plastic also. The biggest challenge I got there are the decals... Ang dami! I count almost a hundred!

I was able to get a book on the vehicles used in Star Wars - including the Death Star! I found it in National Bookstore's reference section. It's by DK. It showcases the original drawings for the film. The detail is fantastic. You may want to get hold of a copy of the book.

I dont want to be accused of flaming the issue but all i can say is:

We are all here for the LOVE of the hobby and NOT for our OWN EGOS, our OWN groups, but FOR THE HOBBY. If any one cant say anything good for the hobby, might as well keep your oral aperture shut- it doesnt help us any good; after washing the dirty laundry of Filipinos in the field of scale modelling time and again in international fora and showing it off to hobby clubs of other nations like it was something to be proud of, we are once more the perfect example of how the worst form of individual a Filipino can be. Lets stop this, be it here at FSM, IPMS BAC or IPMS Manila for or where ever.

You're right there. It was Noel. I already discussed it with him and he said the remark was meant for Reggie's consumption only. Reggie was the first to make the board then Noel made his own. Here's mine Big Smile [:D]

This is the Tamiya T-55A. I finished this already as a Russian T-55, but I really want to create an Iraqi T-55 Enigma, but that time I don't have the proper measurements and other data. Now that I have it, I stripped the paint and removed most parts to convert it to an Enigma.

I know I should have bought a new kit rather than literally "bash" a finished one, but as BigMan's favorite phrase goes; ...the kit is very "extensive" Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]

'Hope you like it. Blush [:I]

To Do: Add armor blocks for the turret, Armor/Shield for the rear of the turret, Fuel tanks and lines, Fuel drums, and paint.

Yes. You'll probably see this on the Nationals............. P.R.O.B.A.B.L.Y. Sad [:(]Disapprove [V]

Mang Ernie: That Chally looks cool. Hope to see it completed.Smile [:)]

Jmfrancisco:[:0] Wow. That looks amazing. Are the armor blocks you used scratchbuilt? You are very good!

If you don't mind I also want to share some progress pics of my Dragon Firefly VC.

I am building it OOB only.

I also have completed this diorama a couple of weeks ago featuring Tamiya's M4A3 105. I built the tank OOB and just added some Dragon figures. The base is scratchbuilt. Comments and suggestions are welcome. I really need a few tips from armor guys like you.

To Do: Add armor blocks for the turret, Armor/Shield for the rear of the turret, Fuel tanks and lines, Fuel drums, and paint.

I still can't get over the fact that you armor guys slap everything together without painting it... Big Smile [:D] Those tanks look great guys! and extra praise for Dwight's Diorama! I can almost feel the anticipation of those german troops... Maybe we'll see that kit in the nationals? Wink [;)]
