You're right there. It was Noel. I already discussed it with him and he said the remark was meant for Reggie's consumption only. Reggie was the first to make the board then Noel made his own. He was referring to the other guys who would make another like it. I'm sure he knew the BAC board was up long before ours was. The comment was not directed at BAC... that I'm sure of.

By the way, I visited the BAC site and logged in using my name and email address (I didn't want the moderators to think I was spying or something...). I even left a post for the moderators praising them for the work and explaining to them that I now know why Lani said the boards were the same.

I was surprised to find out I was banned from the site this morning. I was terribly disappointed. I would have really appreciated it if someone would email me to explain to me what I did to warrant being "banned". I do not want to go through the same experience I had last year with BAC. I do not think praising one's message board is punishable by banning, is it?

I was really under the impression the BAC board was available to all those who are in the hobby and want to interact. I am now of the impression that it is exclusive to BAC mrembers only.

I would understand if you didn't want to have "flamers" around but I really do not think my posts here at FSM, Armorama and Mechapinoy can be considered inflammatory or defammatory.

You guys will get to talk with the moderators of the BAC board. All I want to know is why.

i cannot speak on behalf of our officers but, what i do know is the BAC forum is not exclusive to BAC members only. however, the BAC officers/moderators do have the right to banned certain individuals from joining the forum.

believe me this is not the place to dicuss this issue, you among a few others knows this very well...don't pretend to be ignorrant for what you people did and still continue to do to your parent org.

its what children don't do to their parents or their comrades in arms.

i hope one our officers will contact you soon.

Ernie,

This will be my last words on the subject...

I do not know what those guys told you about me or about what Noel and I did to irritate the sensitive noses of "The powers that be" over there but that had nothing to do with what I'm doing now. I'm not even going to justify what happened then. What is past is past. The mistakes made in the past cannot be corrected by further commission of mistakes. It will just compound things.

Firstly, IPMS/BAC has not been nor ever will be the parent organization of IPMS/Manila. IPMS/Manila Philippines is a separate entity and a recognized chapter of IPMS/USA - not IPMS/BAC. The fact that Tiny, Noel, and I were former members of IPMS Philippines does not make IPMS/Manila a "daughter" organization nor are we a "chapter" of IPMS/BAC. There has never been nor will there ever be objective evidence to support this. We do have objective evidence of our chapter affiliations with IPMS/USA. For those who are interested in knowing whether what we are saying is true, please feel free to email any of the IPMS/USA or IPMS/UK officers to confirm. I have no qualms about you even asking them if they know me or Noel. I'm sure these "parent" organizations will affirm my statements.

Now Ernie, you and I have no beef with each other. I still consider you and the other guys here as well as all of the officers and members of IPMS/BAC as my friends. After all, we did share a lot of important and precious moments together. These will always be cherised by me.

It's just that I just cannot sit by and watch these kinds of misinformation or misperceptions at the very least go around such an august forum such as this. Misinformation is a very dangerous thing and it being such cannot be allowed to continue.

My information is irrefutable... I was there - physically when all these events unfurled. I was the object of the disdain and hate so unjustly delivered. I was there, man... I was there.

Let this be the end of this discussion. I hope that whoever is reading this will allow it to end here. I am sick and tired of this bickering and inuendo-casting. I am tired of all the politicking going around. We are modelers first and foremost. If we want to be other than that - fine... just do it somewhere else.

Jun,

We dont consider IPMS-Phil BAC as your parent organization and we never did. What Ernie was referring to was you and Noel came from IPMS-Phil BA. Thats all.

Let me be the one to tell you that we dont spread misinformation to our members. In fact, we try not to talk about what happened before to our newbies because we are a modeling club, not a political party. And we dont want to drag our newbies to these issues. However, these issues keep cropping up and of all places, this forum where our newbies get to read them. So we are forced to talk to them and explain to them what happened. This has gotten so serious and disturbing that we have offered to reveal our evidence of what happened to those who wants to know.

Jun, I was there also. I was there too, physically. You and Noel were requested to explain the information given by Jay Tison to us officers. This information was very disturbing and damaged the good name of IPMS-Phil BA to IPMS. And always, two names came up on these information, yours and Noel. Thus, the reason why you were requested to explain. But, you and Noel denied everything, even though we said that the concrete evidence was at our hands. You were a given a chance to explain, but you didn't. You even denied contacting IPMS-USA, who shortly recognized your group as its chapter.

Jun, this wont be the end of this discussion. And it wont end here on this forum. Lets us end it somewhere else. If you have any whines or gripes against IPMS-Phil BA, then call us or lets discuss this outside this forum. Your group previously offered to negotiate a truce. We accepted your offer to negotiate. But your group left us hanging. And now we see that these issues are again posted on this forum where we have become the laughing stock of the international modeling community.

Enough is enough. Please, let us spare this forum and our newbies of issues they are not involved in and dont know about. Let this be the last post. If you want to reply, I strongly suggest you call us officers or send an email to us privately instead of crying your heart out on this forum.

Jim,

I said this will be the last I will say on the subject. I did... until this came out. I was already talking "on-topic" as you may have noticed.

Personally, I still consider you guys as friends. I still cannot understand why you cannot get that through your thick heads. I will and always be that. If you guys hate me for it then so be it. I will still greet you guys at the mall and converse pleasantries with you - if you want to. Pre, whatever you guys did or think I might have done is already "water under the bridge". You're right too. We should spare all the people on this forum (a lot of them from the different IPMSs all around the world) the trouble of having to hear our bickering about an issue that should have been dead a long time ago.

I am answering this online because you did not heed your own advice to me. We should discuss this off this forum. I actually enver mentioned anything about this till now because I considered the issue dead and buried. It was my being banned from the board for no reason that really made my blood rise. I rally do not think greeting IPMS BAC for a good job on the board and complimenting you on the apprearance of the board is cause enough to warrant banning, is it? If you haven't read it, ask the ones who did. when I extend the hand of friendship it is genuine. It really pains me when this hand gets slapped in my face.

Pick your enemies very well my friend. They may turn out to be more than you can handle... Wink [;)]

i believe true colors are showing, i try to be fair in what i say and do and i've seen some unpleasant signs from theses guys on this tread alone that maybe think there is more than meets the eye, don't get me wrong on this i'm only refering to some indiviuals but, unfortunately i often refer to them by group and in the long run some friends go beyond borders.

you got my vote on this one.

i still believe this issue should be settled outside this forum, unless like mang ernie said: its serving another purpose.Shy [8)]

I have been in this hobby for a long time - and on this god-forsaken planet for even longer and I do not take flak from anybody - especially someone who "claims" to know me. So let's just drop it, okay?

Ok everyone, if you all want to slug it out, do it somewhere else. I started this topic so that all modelers in this beautiful country of ours can have the chance to know one another, exchange tips about modeling and NOT, i repeat NOT, exchange your private ranting. I think the only way for this "topic" to settle in this forum, is that the moderators will read your posts and conclude that we're out of topic and plug out this topic that i started. If you have any humanity inside your hearts, then at least respect ME for this topic that i started in which i'm always trying to cool up anyone or any topic that may arise a heated argument. Please excuse my strong words because I'm already frustrated on whats going on. Disapprove [V]

i said you like to "play victim" you're never a victim: let me see if i can imitate beth:

1) you take cheap shots at the org, (you could do better with a photocopy machine))
2)then play dumb,(you can even play dead too)
3)when engaged you play victim,(like you said "never" to victimized is better)
4) when cornered you play tough.(why? do you look scary? just incase i'll carry garlic with me)

i don't "claim" to know you i just know for a "fact" what you did! if you're result oriented person take this to those who can decide on the matter and not play with members, believe me you won't accomplish anything unless again that's what your up too.Clown [:o)]

I'll have to back sigman up on this. The moderators of this board recently deleted the "Off-Topic Forum" in this site, and replaced it with one called "Odds & Ends", all because of a few that complained that the posts had absolutely nothing to do with modeling or modeling related subjects.

It's not that i don't care about the issues, or that i don't care, because i do. It's just think It's time to take this conversation somewhere else. This is NOT the proper venue for this sort of discussion.

Modelers from all over the globe post in these forums - heck, someone is even asking for help when he gets stationed in Manila! What happens if the moderators decide to lock or delete this thread? Do you think we'll be trusted with another thread here in FSM?Does anyone here really want the world to know that this is what to expect from Filipinos?

Enough is enough.

Sir,

I believe I am to blame for banning you from the board. Unbeknownst to my fellow BAC members I sent you a personal email explaining why I had to do what I did and was sincerely asking for your apology. However it seems that either the mail I sent never reached you, or its contents are still lying there unread in your email inbox. Simply put, I banned you to keep from some of the senior members of BAC (who have personal grudges against you) from running for your throat. You were like a stray cat entering a roomfull of furious dogs. I was simply keeping you away from any further harm and keeping our fellow BAC members at bay by banning you.

Unfortunately you had to take your issue here in this good forum and air it all out for the devouring of the general modeling public. Now, how tactless can someone of your stature get? I'm sorry but these rantings of yours are more of a sensitive issue that must be talked openly about only within the confines of privacy.

Hey Shrikes,
That's one lucky find with that old Hasegawa B-17F in 1/72 and to think that it has a Hell's Angels marking. Its a collectible items specially if the box art and the decals are still in pristine conditions. I myself got lucky also, I found another Esci B-52G in 1/72nd scale with a Hound Dog missile and a Mount Rushmore markings. I hope you can post the decals I've been trying hard for a long time looking for a Hell's Angels B-17F on 1/72nd. So what type of bomber is in your work bench lately. Me I'm edging on starting the Trumpeter Tupolev.

Wink [;)]

See you around, pre...

Jun

IPMS Phils. BAC forum admin.

Thank you for your candor, pre. I honestly have not received the mail. please send it again so I can be enlightened. Dunce [D)]

In the meantime, please understand that until now, I was in the dark about the whole issueBlindfold [X-)]. I do not want something like this to happen... but "happen" it will if "tact" - like you said was not exercised. It was not. Not only by me but by a lot of other people.

Check the thread, cbrain. I only aired my sentiments to Mang Ernie. I did not take any potshots at the officers or other BAC members - until provoked. I did what I did because I was really disappointed. I had to speak out and the forum seemed like the fastest way to get results. I got it didn't I?

Again, thank you for the concern. I really appreciate it.

Now why can't some people be like cbrain??? That's what I call being a gentleman. Bow [bow]

Now back to modeling... Angel [angel]

Lipton: OK, i'll call you that starting today. But please don't address me with "sir". Parang feeling ko tumatanda na ako. He-he-he. 34 pa lang naman. Just Dwight will be fine with me, thank you.

Anyway some info about the Dragon Firefly:

1.) The kit comes with finely detailed parts as compared to their previous standard M4A4 offering offering. New sprues were added while some from the old M4A4 are still provided giving you lots of extra stuff.
2.) The molding is relatively clean and the fit is acceptably OK. There are lots of small injection marks on each track link though which may require more time to clean. A nice option on the tracks is the availability of both the ordinary connectors and the "duckbill" connectors.
3.) The kit comes with 2 figures.
4.) Only 1 set of decals is provided.
5.) The instructions is abit of a problem since IMO it was copied from the old M4A4 (which I also built previously). Some drawings refer to parts from sprues that are no longer available with the kit. And the availability of new and similar looking parts only complicates things. Sometimes the labels are correct but the drawings of the parts refer to the old kit so it is confusing. A little pasensya is necessary.

About the diorama...I am just using foamboard as my main material. It is soft and easy to carve. Medyo mahal kasi and ready-made ruins. I just spend money on the kit.

BTW, that wingy thingy of your looks cool. Medyo nami-miss ko rin ang A/C. One of these days siguro.

Mang Ernie: Thank you for the reply. I will finish the Firefly this weekend. I am excited kasi with the Academy M-36 Jackson that I just bought recently. Looks very detailed. I am eager to start doing it as soon as possible.

Shrikes: I will be preparing a new diorama for that. I just hope matapos ko. I am a bit busy kasi especially na may baby boy na ako.

Cbrain: Thanks. Nag-iimprove na rin siguro ako. Afterall it was my 7th diorama already.

Jepot: I hope so, too. Thanks.

Sir,

The mail was sent to your ispbonanza account. It is the email address you used to register with the IPMS BAC forumboard. The sender would be my personal yahoo email account ardee_21@yahoo.com. I'll check my pc at home if I have a backup copy of the email I sent you. If not, well let's just say that my previous post to you is basically the summarized version of the contents of that email.

Again, my apologies for banning you. Hopefully someday I can lift the ban, when the tension between our two clubs is gone, and you'll be safe to post in there without getting pounced upon.

regards,
