Lipton: OK, i'll call you that starting today. But please don't address me with "sir". Parang feeling ko tumatanda na ako. He-he-he. 34 pa lang naman. Just Dwight will be fine with me, thank you.
Anyway some info about the Dragon Firefly:
1.) The kit comes with finely detailed parts as compared to their previous standard M4A4 offering offering. New sprues were added while some from the old M4A4 are still provided giving you lots of extra stuff.
2.) The molding is relatively clean and the fit is acceptably OK. There are lots of small injection marks on each track link though which may require more time to clean. A nice option on the tracks is the availability of both the ordinary connectors and the "duckbill" connectors.
3.) The kit comes with 2 figures.
4.) Only 1 set of decals is provided.
5.) The instructions is abit of a problem since IMO it was copied from the old M4A4 (which I also built previously). Some drawings refer to parts from sprues that are no longer available with the kit. And the availability of new and similar looking parts only complicates things. Sometimes the labels are correct but the drawings of the parts refer to the old kit so it is confusing. A little pasensya is necessary.
About the diorama...I am just using foamboard as my main material. It is soft and easy to carve. Medyo mahal kasi and ready-made ruins. I just spend money on the kit.
BTW, that wingy thingy of your looks cool. Medyo nami-miss ko rin ang A/C. One of these days siguro.
Mang Ernie: Thank you for the reply. I will finish the Firefly this weekend. I am excited kasi with the Academy M-36 Jackson that I just bought recently. Looks very detailed. I am eager to start doing it as soon as possible.
Shrikes: I will be preparing a new diorama for that. I just hope matapos ko. I am a bit busy kasi especially na may baby boy na ako.
Cbrain: Thanks. Nag-iimprove na rin siguro ako. Afterall it was my 7th diorama already.
Jepot: I hope so, too. Thanks.
