                        But let me ask every one this: What do you plan on entering at the Nationals? For me I'll be sending in my 1/72 B-17G with a 1/48 F-86D Sabredog as escort... That is, if i can get it done! The Sabredog is still in the box! Wink [;)]

                        No prob ladies. My bro's flight was delayed for a few hours and I grabbed the opportunity to take some pics. Just so happened that I had the camera with me Big Smile [:D] Had to delete some of the pics because the cam also caught my reflection on the glass hehe.

                        Well I finally won the wrestling match with Dragon's 3-piece per link indy tracks for my Firefly. The tracks don't look good to me but anyway here is how she looks for now. The upper and lower hulls are not yet finally set in place.













                        Now on to the crew, additional details and more weathering...and finally to the diorama!Wink [;)]

                        Wow, everybody's really THAT busy huh? Two whole days without any posts.

                        Dwight: Are those linked tracks? They look fine to me.... although I haven't ventured yet into the dark side of armor modeling. Ehehehe. What color did you drybrush the tracks with?

                        Thanks. Yes those are individual track links put together. Each link requires 3 parts and there are about 200+ links in all. For this kit the track links when put together are not aligning too well probably because of assemetry. Medyo matagal lang gawin but not really difficult to do.

                        The tracks were painted in Gun Metal. Then applied with a thin black wash and dark brown wash. Then I drybrushed it with chrome silver.

                        I will add some simulated mud later when I put the tank on a diorama.

                        I see, thanks Dwight. Are they enamel, acrylic, or lacquer? I'm still having problems with handpainting acrylics.... the paint seems to dry too fast for my liking. Sad [:(]

                        Really?!? If that was me, I'd go nuts! ("Repetative, Repetative" said the New York Times). The only person i know so far that enjoys that sort of thing is Fritz from the club... of course, he lives a hop, skip and jump away from the Philippine center for mental health in Mandaluyong!                         Cbrain: I only use acrylics at this time. Medyo sensitive kasi yung wife and kids ko sa amoy ng enamel at lacquer. On the other hand with acrylics, I can work indoors and when thinned with alcohol the smell is not too strong. I agree that lacquer and enamel paints are good for brushing but I think I am getting good results with acrylics when properly thinned.

                        OK more progress report from me. (I hope you don't mind.)

                        Still in the process of completing my 8th diorama for my Firefly VC. I was able to start work on the ground work yesterday and here is how she looks for now. I am trying to get the effect of the tree and grasses being blown by the wind.
