Truely awesome!! Definitely a show stopper!!
Excellent build, Chuck! Thanks for sharing this with us, there's a lot to inspire us with techniques that we can try, it's been great to follow along.
The only sad part is that it's over, and we have to say, "Leb' wohl!" to the girls, the Hauptmann and Pfennig!
I hope the mag picks this build up in some form and publishes it, that would be fitting.
Best regards,
Brad
The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.
YOU are THE man!!!
Is this build OOB?
C'mon, chuk. I KNOW you have your next project already planned. Throw is a bone already!!!
Seriously, I don't know what else to add except-
Thank you for the journey!
It has been awe-inspiring to watch, and I can hardly wait for the next one (what ever it may be!)
Frank
Congratulations! It's done! Time to grill yourself a nice big steak and serve it with a couple of cold beers; you deserve it!
"Whaddya mean 'Who's flying the plane?!' Nobody's flying the plane!"
Thanks for a great lesson in model building, Chuk! Can't wait for your next.
Seeing double is a good thing...when it comes to wings.
Outstanding build sir. I await to see this in Reader Gallery. I think Manny is jealous....
I think you should build a Monogram B-29, or a Tamiya P-47D. Toss up.
Andrew
thanks for an inspiring journey ,its this level of craftmanship that keeps me trying harder .Great job on an awesome build Chuck!!!

Another masterpiece. Your skills, technique, methods, and attention to detail are second to none.
Regarding the nex, I'm sure that you already have it all picked out and are merely keeping the FSM world in suspense, but my , I would like to see a 1/32 offering, or one of the 3 Tamiya Do-335s. (Preferably the Do-335B-2, kit # 61088).
But I digress, , I bow to you good Sir.

"Yesterday is history, Tomorrow a mystery, but Today is a gift. That is why it is called the "present".
That is just awesome work! I really enjoy following your WIP posts. When I open the box of my next model project I always envision it coming out like so many that I see on here BUT it never finishes that way.LOL
I do always seem to learn something new with each one and love doing it.
Chukw I am almost sad to see this journey coming to a close. Its been like a collage course, Model Building 101, through Model Finishing 136 at the Improv. I learned a huge amount from this build and was totally entertained at the same time. My builds have improved because you shared this with us all, it was explained and illustrated to perfection, and so easy to understand and put into practice even I could take advantage of what I learned here.
I hope you one day put this in book form or maybe at the very least do an article for FSM.
Thank you Sir I learned a lot and got to see a beautiful build completed.
PS Cant wait to see what you come up with next to take up my Sunday evenings.
Randy So many to build.......So little time
Truly beautiful work.
Did I miss the "What's Next" announcement?

To quote the great Jeff Spicolli:
'Awesome... totally awesome!' & 'Ahhh Gnarly!'
You photography is top notch yet I have one small request.
How about a photo shoot outdoors in natural light without the green hobby mat as a back drop? It really allows the true colors to be enjoyed to their fullest.
Thanks
Jason
wing_nut Truly beautiful work. Did I miss the "What's Next" announcement?
On May 16 chuck wrote whats the next project.

Wow, Chuk...
As usual, an incredibly entertaining thread...and again, as usual, a very impressive build.
Thanks, man...for taking so much time and effort to document this build and add some fun to what you're showing us.
You also show us that pretty much anything is possible...
Thanks again, Brother. Oh, by the way...Emma is impressed.

I'm wondering when kick-off is.
Would like a teaser shot though of the kit and stuff.
Excellent job!

Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!

Very well done...some of the finest in this scale to be seen...sorta dissapointed by the anti-clamatic finish...would like to have seen many more pics of hte finished plane...
Many thanks, guys! Sorry to have not posted glory pics yet- here are a few. I'm in week 4 of the flu and just can't seem to get over it- poor excuse, I know. ;) I also needed to step away a bit after 20 months on the same dealio. I have started a new thread over in dioramas- take a look here: /forums/t/133231.aspx
